it was the end of the week and nora had just finished her last class of the day. it was a night class so the campus was rather empty at this point, and normally that wouldn’t bother nora too much- but the past few months had changed her perspective on that sort of thing. at first, she tried to convince herself it was just a sick joke, someone just trying to get under her skin. though that wasn’t the case anymore. and at this point she didn’t quite know what to do about it. the police couldn’t do anything, not unless she knew who it was and had some kind of proof. but she had no idea who was doing this, not in the slightest.
she’d been struggling in her classes lately, spending all her time and energy looking over her shoulder. was someone watching her? following her? was it someone she knew? this person had been inside her apartment –– while she was sleeping. she wasn’t even safe with her own doors locked. and that terrified her to no end.
arriving safely at her apartment she rounds the corner to lay eyes on her door at the end of the hall. and just like so many times before, there was an envelope taped to it. she hesitates a few moments before she proceeds down the hallway, taking the envelope in her hands before she opens her door and closes it, locking it FIRMLY behind her. she flips on all the lights immediately, making sure no one was lurking in the shadows before she sits down on her couch with the note and with her phone.
she opened the envelope, eyes peering over the note as she swallowed the growing lump in her throat. glancing at her phone she reaches for it, wondering if she should finally make the call she’d been wanting to make. no - it wasn’t the police. it was a friend. a friend that could possibly help her - or at least maybe offer some advice. she pulls up an empty text message, finding vince’s contact information before typing out a short message ( ‘ ARE YOU BUSY? DO YOU THINK YOU COULD COME OVER FOR A BIT? IT’S IMPORTANT. ’ ) and sending it.
