you would think taking a test a THIRD time would for sure help you pass. but no somehow I did WORSE than both previous scores.
Officially passed the PRAXIS Core and one of the PRAXIS II tests I have to take. I have one more that I have to take by May 2017, but I’m definitely way less worried about that.
Teaching is becoming more and more of a reality.
I wish standardized tests weren't so expensive.
So nervous for my praxis test :(
Hey! How did you study for the math praxis? I've studied for it but I keep failing it...
I bought the little practice math PRAXIS test when I paid for the PRAXIS. It was like 20$ It gives you an idea of the problems that are on the PRAXIS.
I understand the PRAXIS is frustrating :P I just figured out doing the practice test that you have to keep moving. It’s not about finding the perfect answer but it’s better to answer as many problems as you can within the time limit. I know that feels really counterintuitive, but you just have to keep going. It’s better to guess if it’s taking you too long to figure out the answer and move on so you have as many as you can answered. I’m not very good at math myself, but most of the problems were basic algebra, geometry, things like that.
Got back from St Augustine yesterday
and now it’s back into the daily grind.
I took the PRAXIS core today though and I kicked so much booty! I got a 198 on the reading and a 160 on the math part. I was super worried about the math section because even though it was pretty basic math I’m terrible at it! But I did the practice section they had available when I purchased the test, so I feel like I was a lot more comfortable with it. I think the important thing is just to keep moving when you’re taking the PRAXIS, since it is timed and it’s better to have everything answered than have perfect answers. But I did well enough to get into the education program so
HOO YAH!
I need to post some of my pics from St Augustine. I’m mad at myself because when we went downtown the second time I forgot my camera. WTF, who does that right? There was so much beautiful architecture. Ah well. I’m sure better photographers have gotten snaps of it! Plus, my brother and parents got plenty of pics so I can just steal theirs.
We had a great time and I’ll write moar about it later. I am tan, slightly burned and still mentally in beach mode. Oh AND I’m bruised because guess what? I tried surfing for the first tiiime! I rented a surf board from the Anastasia Park store. (Anastasia Park is where we camped ) I am now a Level 1 Surfer. Achievement Unlocked: Wipe Out! And I got my ass handed to me by the ocean. My brother also tried it and fared only slightly better and said “I can see how it’s addictive though.”
DAT SURFING DOE.
*gasps for air* TEST ANXIETY
