NETANEL FELBER UPDATE - PLEASE SHARE (Netanel Felber was shot in the head by a Palestinian terrorist in December 2018, while on IDF duty protecting the citizens of Israel. His recovery and progress has been an open miracle and a testimony to the power of prayer.) 1)Netanel was at his physical therapy gym and even with weights strapped to his ankle, he was able to lift his right leg a bit. The coach was amazed and brought everyone over to see the amazing improvement. 2)Staff and family are working on getting Netanel to take his medicines orally but it’s a challenge. Now they are giving his morning medicines via the PEG, but they will keep experimenting with swallowing pills and capsules of different sizes and shapes. They are also doing tongue and mouth exercises to help him get better at this. 3)Netanel is increasingly able to let people know his preferences when he is asked. Sometimes his responses are not what they expect. It is good that he is getting and doing what he wants rather than what others decide for him. 4)Netanel’s rabbi came over to record him saying various blessings on the iPad. Now, when Netanel wants to say a blessing, he chooses which one and hears a familiar voice saying it. It’s better for him to hear a familiar voice than a recording of some random person.
