Serenity prayer shawl pattern.
Get a 1lb ball of medium weight acrylic yarn, because it’s cheap and hypoallergenic. Using a size “h” crochet hook, chain 90 stitches plus three. Into the third chain from the hook, make a double crochet (in British directions, I believe this would be a treble crochet). *Double crochet across your row. Chain three and turn your work. Work a double crochet into the stitch next to the last one in your previous row.* Repeat * section until you run out of yarn. End result should be approximately one yard in length depending on how tightly you work your stitches. As you are working, meditate on serenity or recite your favorite serenity prayer. This pattern doesn’t need blocking but it will stretch with use. I think that just makes it more cozy because you can wrap it around you a bit more like a big hug.
