A prayer for California
Dear God,
I come before you tonight, humble and appreciative of your almighty power, for keeping me and my family safe, my heart full of love and my lungs full of air. I come asking you for your forgiveness on behalf of all the human race. We don’t deserve this beautiful world you’ve given us. The beautiful animals that you’ve created to be apart of this world with us? We’re destroying their homes. We don’t deserve these beautiful animals. So I come before you, praying that you’ll stop these fires from growing and tell these people (The President, Congress, Governors) in power that climate change exists. You didn’t give that knowledge to scientist so they can babel on and on about climate change. No, you gave them that knowledge so they can share it with the world, with those who have the power to help the world, but these people in power refuse to believe it. Maybe we don’t need those people in power, but help many others believe that we need to save our World. So I’m asking you to change, those people in power, change their minds or put in power those who believe that this world needs help. And for those people who are losing homes, give them strength, hope and so much love in this difficult time. Just like you gave me hope, love and strength when it flooded here in Houston. Care for them and tell them that You’re there with them, even if it might seem like You’re not. Remind them that just like there is good in this world, there is evil. And evil are those who refuse to see that our World needs OUR help. And bless and protect those first responders that are putting themselves in harms way; firefighters, policemen, all first responders, may You keep them safe. In Jesus name we pray, Amen ❤️
The city I love is on fire and my heart is breaking. 💔 Dear L.A.: we’ve been through so much together over the past 25 years. Earthquakes, riots, floods, and now this. To me, you will always be the City of Angels, no matter what. I’ve wandered the world, but to me you’re the best place on earth. 🌴☀️ You are alive. You are vibrant. You are magic. You make dreams come true, and I love you like you’re part of me. 💫❤️ Dear fellow Angelenos, please stay safe. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, including your animals. 🐱🐶And thank you to all the firefighters and rescue workers who are tirelessly fighting to save our city and our homes. ❤️ #prayforla #lafires #losangeles #wildfire #ilovela (at Los Angeles, California)
