Analytics enable businesses to quantify the impact of press releases on key business metrics such as sales leads generated, website traffic, and brand awareness. This data-driven approach allows companies to allocate resources efficiently and optimize future PR strategies for maximum ROI.
Continuous Improvement in PR Strategies

4 Ways to say No to your client and still keep their love
"Absolutely. Customer service staff often has to face annoyed or irritated customers who maybe fed up with the company's product or service. Many times listening to the customer's problem can solve half of the problem. Being helpful, controlling emotions and analyzing the issue in an objective way to find solutions that help the customer are critical to building the company's brand in the market place."
--Joe Valentine, MBA, PMP-Global Trade Compliance
In the real world, I came across a CEO, who preferred to hide under the name of ‘Sales Manager.’ Cowardice? No, tact. Every time he met a client he did not want to disappoint, all he had to say was, ‘I’ll run it through my boss and get back to you at your earliest convenience!’ That’s the real world of PR. Oh! But there’s more…
Look at this answer suggested by a PR Professional- Pat Law , CEO-GoodStuph.org
Instead of saying no, I totally disagree, here’s what a savvy PR trained organization would say-
“I get where you are coming from. We can do so with your suggestion, brilliant one, by the way. But just to ensure we’re on the same page, I do need to confirm with my production department if there are any implications pertaining to your suggestion, and if so, if there’s any incremental cost to be incurred.”
Now, here are the bare bone reasons why your clients will take ‘No’ a few hours later and love you!
1. Not only did you show your understanding, but you first entertained their insecurity.
‘I get where you are coming from.’ This is one problem you have to be careful with. Telling half truths. In many cases, you will get caught. The best way to get the best out of the first step is to appreciate the angle of the client, and allow them to see there could be more to this.
2. You fed the client's ego and made them feel productive in one breath.
‘Brilliant one, by the way.’ Well, in case you ask me, there is no offense appreciating the client, even if for just showing up in your office with great looking pajamas! And since they are trying to get a better solution, just as you are trying to provide one, get the matter solved, even if you may have to get the solution from your competitors.
3. You did not play bad cop. You blamed someone else
‘My production department’ this is the logic of CEO turned Sales Manager. Unfortunately, you may need it for recalcitrant clients! Oops! Sorry.
4. You said no, without saying a. In actual fact, you made him/her say no by playing the biggest decision making factor.
‘If there’s any incremental cost to be incurred.”’ Ideally, we would all give cheap services happily. In the real world we are plagued by competitor pressure, advertising costs and all the other costs you know about. Higher costs for the same product remain the biggest decision making factor and an easier way for clients to accept the No happily!
You see! Saying no can be done, and turned into a refreshing word for all!

2 Ways to know the best PR platform for your business
"It depends on what your corporate and sales goals are and what audiences you're looking to attract. Sometimes the best program would incorporate all of them, but often the best PR is vertically focused to specific markets."
-George F. Snell III, Digital Communications Executive
When you first get exposed to the concept of using PR for quick and easy, free publicity and media coverage, you could get confused figuring out Where to start so that soon you are the talk of media. But many PR professionals would tell you to slow down and focus.
1. Where does your audience hangout?
‘"Who are you talking to?"That helps answer: Are they going to trust TV more than print? Are they going to be savvy enough that you can embed the video from the TV into a blog or website and they'll view it (assuming they care enough)? That would turn your "TV" into print, web (most news shows have an accompanying news site), and your blog.’
-- Ari Teman co-founder NextGen:Charity+NextGen:Health conferences / CEO 12gurus, GatherGrid.com / Founder JCorps
And hence you need to scout the out and talk to them in the way they understand best. If you have just moved to a new market, this is usually a time to explore rather than trying to go chasing waterfalls. Identify your target audience and their behaviors when they interact. Are they social media types, are they TV addicts or do they just know how to speak in 140 character sentences on Twitter.
2. What's different this time?
“you have to measure at the point of contact - did it result in phone calls or donations, did it result in purchases (i.e. the use of a coupon, promotional code or 'mention this ad ...' can demonstrate effectively the number of people being engaged). Likewise a blogger who takes the time to engage, share information and discuss your enterprise is an indication that you have moved share of mind. Because of this, many companies are recognizing that the use of social media can be an effective tool.”
--John Friedman, CSR-P Corporate Citizenship Communications (Sodexo Group) at Sodexo
In as much as many might not want to agree, PR can be an iterative process until you identify the right mix of tools to engage with the public and achieve your objectives. Until then, you must establish a cycle that allows you to evaluate what is different each time you roll out a PR campaign. Social media is now a major way to review your metrics. It remains available for use.
