Summer sun makes Estelle's freckles appear. Sonya cannot seem to get enough of them. <3
Under the cut is a small blurb on how Sonya first noticed them. Sorry for not posting much at all, I haven't been feeling well. Both this doodle and the story are basically comfort content I created when I was in the dumps! I'm a bit better now so dw!
Also excuse my writing, it is not the best! I am not very confident in it in english :3
As summer creeped into the valley, the ranch came alive. It seemed to grow lungs with all the new people running around, a stomach with all the money it cost to run now and a heart with all the new horses incoming.
Sonya was truly busy, with feet and muscles aching at the end of each workday. She took up lecturing all of the new western riders as well as doing maintenance around Starshine ranch now that it was at full capacity and fully operational. She barely had a spare minute in her day. And yet, even in the whirlwind of new work to be done, one detail failed to escape her notice.
She first saw it on one particularly hot summer day, the kind that had you feel every droplet of sweat rolling down your back. She had been hauling hay by the riding arena, when a familiar figure entered through the gate. She was well dressed as always, meticulously matching the colours of her steed, which she led by a lead rope into the dusty area.
Estelle seemed almost unaffected by the heat, safe for a few strands of pearlescent white hair that stuck out awkwardly in a few places, misplaced due to sweat. She seemed to be aiming to do some ground work so as not to exhaust her horse in this heat.
Sonya smiled as the girl turned her pale pointy face towards her. Estelle did not smile back then, she rarely ever did, but she nodded hello. That’s when Sonya laid her eyes upon a small dusting of freckles covering the girl’s nose and cheeks. They were covered by a poorly spread layer of white sunscreen, but they were there.
Normally, freckles would hardly be called an imperfection by Sonya. They were cute on anyone. However, on Estelle’s pristine face, they seemed so awfully… human. So misplaced on an otherwise flawless canvas. The woman found herself captivated and only drew her gaze away when Estelle gave her a sharp glance. She had been staring, she knew. But something about those freckles… made her heart race.
As he made his way back across the bar, Giuseppe noticed that the Jarhead that Audrey had brushed off earlier was back. She'd already told him in no uncertain terms to go play Gravball in traffic, and he was either too stupid or too arrogant to get the message.
As Giuseppe came up to his barstool next to Audrey he heard her scoff, and just as he was about to take his seat, noticed the man's hand slipping down to grope her ass.
Giuseppe wasn't a fighter; quite the opposite. But seeing this guy violating Audrey's person after she'd made it exceptionally clear that his attention was offensive made him angry.
"Hey, stop touching her, you contemptuous pig!" He yelled over the music. Surprised at the sudden outburst, both Audrey and the Marine turned their attention to Giuseppe. The other man looked him up and down once, then laughed.
"Or what, beach bum? You gonna hit me?"
He didn't have time to be surprised at the intensity of the white-hot rage that boiled into his chest. Giuseppe pulled his left arm back almost on reflex, and his punch caught the man in the cheek, just under his right eye.
Jarhead staggered back and caught himself on the bar, but was almost immediately back on his feet. And before it even occurred to Giuseppe to duck, Jarhead's fist hit him right in the nose. He only had time to register the snapping sound of his glasses before a second hit landed and everything went black.
The first thing he felt was pain. Then brief panic when he couldn't breathe through his nose. He gasped, then coughed, and whatever he was leaning against moved.
"Oh thank fuck." The relief was obvious in Kyles's tone. "You alright man?"
Everything seemed fuzzy, and when he reached up to adjust his glasses, they were gone.
"Th'fuck're m'glasses." He slurred. His head throbbed and he felt a little sick, and he vaguely wondered if he'd had anything to drink the night before.
"I think Audrey got them after the bouncer kicked that asshole out of the bar, yeah?"
Giuseppe squeezed his eyes shut and focused for a moment. This was still tonight, he was still at the bar, he recognized the decor now.
"Yeah, I got them, or what's left of them." Someone knelt in front of him and he squinted. Audrey.
"We're going to take you to the clinic, you were knocked out and we need to make sure the concussion isn't too bad okay?"
Concussion. He knew what that word meant...something about concussive blasts, pressure waves...
He'd been decked. He had to concentrate a lot harder than usual, but now he remembered losing his temper and punching a Marine...that was probably why his hand ached.
"Oh...yeah...punching people hurts more'n I thought."
Omg your nsfw kirugon headcanons are the best Gimme more
It’s been a while *cracks fingers*, let’s talk about poledancer!Killua for a moment. Not really nsfw because I got caught up??? IM SORRY
Killua needs a way to pay his bills and student loans that his parents refuse to pay for since it wasn’t for a business degree like they had wanted. Without a past job and no previous experience he had little choice, so he became a stripper. He started pole dancing instead of just stripping since he could be just out of the reach of the crowd, not to mention it actually took quite a bit of muscle so not all the guys could do it (which meant less competition for tips). The thing about Killua is that he learns fast. He quickly learns the ropes and performs stunningly.
Sometimes Killua isn’t in the mood to dance, but he puts up with it for the money that he needs. Other times he’ll be 110% into it, giving customers come hither looks and teasing the patrons with every trick in the book.
There are a lot of scumbags in the club at his shows but sometimes there’s some interesting gold nuggets in the crowd (like the young heir of a big-time bank owner), or just people who were nice out of courtesy rather than arousal. Gon was one of the latter.
Instead of being enamored by Killua’s dancing he had the gall to slip him a $5 and ask “how much can you bench???”
It’s not until further into the friendship does Gon really understand the sexual nature of Killua’s job. Killua isn’t allowed to be touched by patrons, but somehow to Gon the look in their eyes is still enough to make him see red. He knows it’s wrong to tell Killua to get another job if he doesn’t want to so he tries to give hints that he would be there if Killua needs anything.
Gon’s feelings finally become more clear when he sees Killua dance one particular night (he’d only seen Killua dance 2-3 times since he can’t afford getting into the club everynight, the first time was only for a friend’s sake since they had wanted company for the visit). On that night the song was very slow, slow enough that Gon didn’t think Killua could dance to it. Instead Killua surprised him by starting out graceful and sensual, easily gliding himself around the pole and then hooking the back of one of his knees to it up high and arching his back like a bow so he could gaze at the crowd upside down.
Sometime in the middle of his show Killua catches Gon staring, their eyes meet. Gon can’t look away. And Gon thinks “oh.”
