What I know going in
The episodes are coming to netflix tomorrow and I hope to have a blog entry for episode 1 up tomorrow or Saturday. So I thought I’d get this post finished before the episodes drop.
What I already know:
One of the executive producers was the head writer and director of Avatar: the Last Airbender (Avatar: The Legend of Aang to some countries). That and the sequel the Legend of Korra are two of my favorite shows.
Ninja elves.
Shadow magic summoned wolves.
There’s a black king, which I’m sure is going to piss off a lot of racists. I think his son is one of the main characters.
A war began because it’s thought the humans destroyed the egg of the last dragon, what would have hatched being the titular Dragon Prince.
Except the humans seem to have the egg. That orange thing the kid had may or may not turn out to be the Dragon Prince.
If I don’t watch it fast enough my wife’s 8 year old nephew who once spoiled a plot element of Star Wars: The Force Awakens for an entire theater the second time he watched it might call me up and tell me the entire plot.
People have complained about the animation of the trailers. Honestly I’ve been a huge fan of RWBY since the animation was this “stellar” . . .
I’m sure I’ll live through the animation.
