The Scarecrow as a villain has been around longer than Riddler, which makes somethings fun for them. Namely the fact that Jonathan's been in the news so many times and Edward wasn't even around to see those times. But that doesn't mean they don't exist online. So I present to you: Edward seeing reports that talk about his boyfriend running around with his "queer grasshopper leaps" and then losing his shit about it. Jonathan isn't amused. Harley on the other hand absolutely is.

I beg of you to tell me more about Dark Sides Family
more HCs coming right up! DSF pre-split:
When it was just them two, and they would go to parties or travel with caravans, Remus would typically be out gathering attention and doing his thing while Virgil stuck to walls and corners, until he felt safe enough in the environment to join him. He would watch Remusâs back somewhat, a little paranoid about either of them being in danger, and when people noticed this spooky looking dark elf lurking in shadows and staring at Remus, they would ask stuff like âhey do you know that guy?â To be funny, Remus started answering with âDonât mind him, thatâs my bodyguard.â Of course, no one ever believed that anyone as huge and intimidating as Remus needed a bodyguard, but the more they looked at the shady figure across the room, the more they believed RemusâŠÂ Of course, Virgil thought this was ridiculous and hilarious(considering it was somewhat true, in a way,) and he started answering the same way when someone asked him how he knew Remus: âOh, the big guy over there? Heâs my bodyguard.â It became their default answer
Once Dee joined them, it slowly shifted to â(motioning to Dee) Weâre his bodyguards.â This made Dee profoundly embarrassed, but he could never get them to stop
You know that thing where someone gets startled and they jump onto a nearby person to be up and away from the problem? Virgil does the opposite of this. If he gets scared, he grabs on to the nearest ally, literally picking them up if they are small enough, so heâs ready to run with them if necessary. If he got spooked, depending on who he was closest to, he would grab Remusâs shoulder or hand (to drag or push him away from potential danger) or just scoop Dee up. Remus thought it was cute, Dee hated it (he does not like to be separated from the ground without warning)
Remus is the only one of them that celebrated holidays at first. He was raised religious, and though he wasnât really anymore, he still celebrated Greengrass, Wintersheild, Liarâs Night, Halloween, and Christmas, because they were fun! He got Virgil and Dee to go to these festivals with him, dressing up in the appropriate costumes and having fun in town. They didnât really like or understand Greengrass and Wintersheild (both actually made Virgil somewhat uncomfortable), but the other three started to grow on them, especially Liarâs Night and Halloween. The first time they actually tried to participate in Christmas and got Remus a present, he nearly cried (but, to be fair, he was considerably drunk at the time)
Virgil never takes off the unitard unless he has absolutely no other choice, and thereâs no way in hell heâs going to let anyone see him without it. Wounded? Ignore it. Bathing? It stays on. The other two have no idea why he does this, and make fun of him about it all the time, but donât genuinely push him on it. They have actually both seen him without it on before, but they could tell he was viscerally uncomfortable.
Remus didnât molt anymore, because his wings donât have feathers to cycle through, but he still got the mood swings and general discomfort that comes with molting (itâs kinda like having your period but for birds). He got extra cranky, excitably, and cuddly during this time, and he would drape all over Virgil and Dee and demand to be paid attention to. They would laugh at his misfortune, like assholes, but did make an effort to make him more comfortable during these times:Â
Dee would make sure Remus was eating like he was supposed to (eating made his stomach upset while he was molting, so he would start trying to skip meals. Dee wasnât about to let that slide, and started cooking stuff that wouldnât make him so queasy, like soup), and Virgil would help him with his itchiness and âghost feathersâ by rubbing his wings and combing his hair, basically preening/grooming him. Remus greatly appreciated it
Dee was the opposite when he was shedding, he didnât like to be touched and got really drowsy, not to mention the fact that he went totally blind for a few days. Eventually, he got comfortable enough with them and trusted them not to mess with his scales, so he would let them carry him around if they needed to be on the move and he was too tired to walk. Virgil would watch over him like a hawk to make sure he didnât stumble into anything or get hurt in some way, and Remus would comfort him by telling him stories and factoids of things that were âgrosserâ than how he felt right now, to distract him. The sentiment was still greatly appreciated, if the nasty stories were notâŠ
