Okay but imagine if in the planned au, (canon to the au or otherwise) it turns out Maddie set it up for Vlad to get hit by the portal. Or at the very least realized it was going to happen and didn't actually try to stop it. I know its not realistic but I just kind of wanna see Vlad realize it wasn't Jack's fault and the woman he has been pinning for was actually the cause of his pain

It's totally realistic. That's exactly the sort of diabolical plan Maddie would concoct lol.

I like the idea of the woman he loves also being the one who actually hurt him, especially since I headcanon Vlad's mother was abusive and girls at school thought he was creepy and he fell in love with Maddie because she was the first woman who ever showed him some tenderness and affection. To find out that even she ended up hurting him would be such delicious angst.

I was looking at the school quests for one of the minions you get. The time travel guy asks you why you want to blow up the world and then mentions that it hasn't happened yet. But he only does that to the death wizard. I'm now wondering what the heck leads our wizard to blowing a place up

In the reverse au (for destiny 2) is Cayde haunted by the Guardian (like a nightmare)? Considering the guardian doesn't really speak, how would that go?

Oh, well...that would be something different.

Usually nightmares taunt verbally, haunting jabs to try to get to that core agony that someone's emotions (in this case, guilt, regret, etc...) stems from. But if the Guardian is haunting Cayde-6? It would be more of just their presence.

A nagging, hovering form too close for comfort but not close enough for him to fight it. They wouldn't have to say anything because he'd know. He'd know why they're there, why they are his nightmare. Because just like everything else in the City (monuments, murals, etc...), they're a reminder of his failure to save them.

He'd let the Nightmare follow him around, let its presence torment him while he went about his job. Just like Cayde talks to the YW in game without them responding, he'd probably talk idly to the Nightmare!YW the same way. Bounce ideas off them, make small talk they don't reciprocate.

I'm sure there'd be a "You haven't changed much, have you? Just rocking the new red, huh?" on Cayde's end. All that until it's late and he's sitting on a rooftop somewhere, overlooking the City with the Nightmare hovering over his shoulder. That's when the pain actually hits. When he starts to talk about that day in the Prison of Elders. How he felt when he got to them and realized he couldn't help 'em. How he wishes he could have changed things and had them there with him now.

There'd be some self-inflicted tormenting through all of this, but in the end, he'd talk it out and come to terms with it. He'd watch that Nightmare flare to a blue and he'd finally find it in him to smile

Since troll babies seem to become independent much faster than human babies, how you think trolls react to human babies staying babies for longer?

I think a common theme for what trolls think of young humans will often just boil down do “pathetic”.

It sounds rough but like. It just be like that.

I don’t even know if they’d find human babies cute at first sight, maybe like the ugly-cute phenomenon but they’d have to get used to seeing them (wether that be in pictures or irl) for a while before getting used to them.

Back to your question though, yeah they don’t really get the concept of taking care of your young beyond grubhood, so it’s probably a foreign concept to them
