The Hardships of Game Creating
So I started playing Minecraft back around August of 2010. I was directed to the Discovr community and happily went about building derpy builds and such in the community. As time went on I played on different servers and games types as Notch slowly began to release them. Always in the back of my head I wanted to make a game. I wanted to do something that people would love and be excited about.
Thats when iFred's CivCraft was released. I saw the exact kind of game I would love to play. A game based off of Sid Meier's Civilization put into a Minecraft world. Well sadly CivCraft turned belly up and instead destroyed itself. I felt very unsatisfied with what iFred had delivered. I spoke to a friend of mine about an idea I had and how it could work and all the fancy little details.
Well with a lot of time writing down things and thinking up designs by myself it finally came to PrecipiceGames' first Town Hall meeting, where we discussed the things happening in the entire community, to announce it to the public. So there I was, a little idealist, creating this cool idea in front of the entire community. The idea was from begin to now, Icima, a different realm far beyond our own. A world where Nations and Nomad hoards could come together and fight.
So, 1.8 is coming out. We will soon have a forum up and active. A server to begin construction will follow shortly. The only problem I seem to have is... satisfying the masses. That's right it would seem that the masses just want all the things now and they aren't getting enough fast enough. Trust me, fellow Minecrafters I am working as quickly as I can without making mistakes. I try my best to release Sneak Peaks for you guys and to always tweet some interesting facts here and there. Remember though, you can always PM on the forums or tweet me back and I'll get back to you sooner or later.
Here's to Icima!
