Thinking a bit about Prey!Martyn because no matter what scenario I come up with I cannot take this mfer seriously, he is both a little shit and a freak imo
For starters, Martyn knows that he is pretty edible and absolutely LOVES it. I see him as the type to enjoy being eaten because haha funny reactions and access to a free bed and transportation, but to a level that can be a bit off-putting to some. Alternatively, sometimes he just does it because he’s hella bored.
I’m talking him purposely sneaking himself into preds’ meals and drinks or even outright lying French girl style on top of a salad just so he can watch them go WTF in real time, or when someone even slightly references the idea of eating he will giggle and proceed to pour condiments on himself or try to jump into someone’s mouth completely unprompted.
And when a pred does humor him for once and decides to eat him, Martyn will say the most outlandish theatrical stuff while inside them that will make them either choke from laughing or instantly regret eating him, because even while being squished in someone’s belly he WILL NOT SHUT UP. One of the few that seems to be able to match this energy is Ren, with them probably roleplaying dumb scenarios because Martyn being eaten will always need to be THAT much more dramatic.

generally that someone is ren because he is pupper and likes to eat things hes not supposed to, but they are fucking annoying if anyone else happens to stumble across them mid-nom.
"foul traitor who dareth to interrupt my lunch!! flee, lest ye head be cleaved and fed to the hounds!!" *and then martyn cackling like a madman from his spot in ren's hand
i would also like to point out that martyn has zero awareness of his affect on his preds and will regularly end up kicking people in the liver because he wasn't paying attention and having them end up keeled over in agony. im not positive he feels any shame about it either.

So, just a disclaimer, this is for the musical adaptation. I haven't seen the 1984 film or the 2011 film. Most of what I'm going off of it from the musical (which was SOOOOO good!).

So, coming to Bomont, Ren is basically the only other full pred other than Chuck (and Chuck's only a pred-lean).
In Chicago, it was basically commonplace, but Bomont is basically full of prey-leans.
While not banned like dancing, the practice of a pred/prey society is considered taboo in Bomont.
But that doesn't stop Ariel asking Chuck, and later Ren, to eat her.
Now in a prey-majority town, Ren's pred senses are firing off intensely and he tries to ignore it because he's already getting in enough trouble.
Ariel likes trying to egg him on; during one of their first encounters, his stomach growls very loudly and she teases him about how hungry he must be.
The first time that Ariel lets Ren eat her is at the train tracks.
He's a little jumpy, as it had been a while since he swallowed anyone, but she reassures him with gentle encouragement.
She quickly finds out that he enjoys belly rubs, even if he finds the sensation a little odd at first.
When Chuck attacks Ariel in Act 2, he eats her.
He scares her by threatening to digest her, even making sure the acid leaves a burn on her hand.
When he spits her back up, she runs off to find Ren.
After treating the burn and cleaning her off, they go to the part of the train tracks where she paints in Bobby's memory.
After "Almost Paradise," she asks Ren to eat her again.
He's reluctant, especially considering what she just went through, but she tells him that she wants a reminder that he'll keep her safe.
Even with his bravado, Ren can be pretty shy when it comes to being a pred-- especially when Ariel's in the mix.
Like I said, he loves belly rubs, even if he finds the feeling of receiving them from the inside strange.
He's also got a noisy tum.
While Ariel teases him about this a lot, she finds it really relaxing.
It's pretty often that you'll find Ren curled up under the train tracks, arm resting protectively over his middle, with a belly full of Ariel.
Willard thinks it's cool that his new friend is a pred, and often asks for Ren to eat him, too.
Ariel doesn't mind having to share Ren with Willard-- as long as she gets far warning.
Now, if anyone wants to... draw Pred!Ren and Prey!Ariel... am I gonna stop them?
