the hivemind as an invasive species vs humankind as the original invasive species,,
Guess how I pay only $50 a month for my insulin, which I guess puts it at roughly the monthly cost of bottled water, if you are so f*cking lucky as to justify that:
1. I lost my health insurance.
2. I pay for over-the-counter generics at Walmart. Which is NOT what I was prescribed. And it was NOT a regime I got a doctor to counsel me in taking, SINCE I HAVE NO DOCTOR. So I had to trial and error my dosages myself, which is tricky.
3. I reuse my single-use syringes about 20 times each. Depending on if the needle snaps off or not.
4. Did I mention the 3 years I spent rationing out insulin that costs $300 a vial that was EXPIRED for four years, even though I couldn’t use the insulin pump it was designed for, and had to wake up every two hours in the middle of the night to take a shot?
5. Forgot to mention that when I briefly went back on health insurance, my insulin was more expensive with my co-pay than when I paid over the counter.
I am an American with the most expensive, pre-existing disease in America, with no insurance.
Come at me, Trump. I’m scrappy.
I am legitimately terrified right now. Our school board (Spotsylvania County Public Schools in Fredericksburg Virginia for those interested) voted to send kids and teachers back to school for a "hybrid" plan with additional supplements to move to full time in person learning come October 12th.
My wife is a teacher in this county, as is my mom. Both are high risk. My wife and I had to start discussing our wills and putting our affairs in order because it's a guaranteed death sentence if we contract COVID. (I'm immunocomprimised for the record).
We're terrified and angry and honestly we don't know what to do. If you can, please write to our school board and tell them how wrong this is. Ive spoken at previous school board meetings to try and prevent this but to no avail.
I don't know what's going to happen from here.

Everthing Trump says is bullshit. He gets the basic premise of covering pre-existing conditions 100% wrong.
