Happy Pride Month!!
We've got no money for our son's trans care!!!
Our last post
Hola, i'm Calli, a nonbinary mexican parent. Both my partner and I are chronically ill, we're the main providers for our family of 9, that includes his mom, dad and sister because they lost everything in a fire back in November 2023. TW for the house after the fire.
We are poor and unemployed, all adults have some chronic condition, chronic pain and we live constantly exposed to mold, rust and other issues the house has. The landlord does jackshit but sure comes to collect rent every now and then.
To top it off i have been getting harrassed by racist unkind people here, making me suicidal.
My blog's archive proving i have been here since 2013, the first post i ever reblogged.

I sometimes share recipes too!
I have been offering spanish conversation classes online for $12 usd/hr. Right now im earning $12 a week, do you think I can support a family of 9 with that?
**I tracked down comments in notes ive made through the years, as far as 2016, I did all that even before this new tumblr update showing our comments so I did all that hard work for nothing lol, you can ask for links in my dm's this is already long enough as is.**
Our goal is to get our eldest's a couple of binders, his testosterone and medication he needs for a condition he needs a surgery for but we can't afford.
$0/$500
PAYPAL KOFI THRONE
*We made a throne to show some needs we have but usually don't get because we focus on food and bills, we're behind on rent and bills and need groceries so money would help us even more.
Already explained in another reblog but we're facing the possibility of a flood with the constant rains we're getting here plus there is a water supply shortage. We have no money to get our son's testosterone, medication and trans care and we need to brace ourselves from whatever the next days bring.
PLEASE AT LEAST SHARE!!!!
never been to pride but my therapist told me what its like for them and it secretly makes my heart sad. at one point in time i had close friends and they could support me in doing many things and going to many events i could never go to when i was alone. but now i don’t have as close queer friends nearby ://
i could have gone but i missed my chance i just didn’t realize i wasn’t going to have a chance to later

hi im fishwife :3
Last post gone a little stagnant so I'm makin' a new one and I'm doing it right this time instead of slapping some links on a vent post. Long story short I'm a trans woman in the ignorant, provincial backwater known as Oklahoma and every second I spend here is a living nightmare of persecution, poverty, and desperation. I am incredibly depressed and traumatized by my experiences since coming out and I've been stripped of my HRT, my career, and my dignity. My lowkey financially abusive parents* are too busy getting a messy divorce to help me get out of dodge and up towards the PNW.
*they forced me to quit my job last year and ive been without income since even though they knew i was saving up for this eventuality. long fucking story but ive been suffering for it believe you and me. turns out just being supportive of your gender identity doesnt necessarily mean your parents wont fuck you over for other, more esoteric reasons.
As a consequence of that messy divorce, I won't have a place to stay soon and the house is a total minefield of heightened emotion. So that's really made things extra stressful and unstable for me and I'd quite like to leave now :)
I've got a car and a few different options of places that have been offered to me around Seattle and Tacoma. Ain't my first time moving cross-continent either so I'm prepared for the reality of things; I'm talking to an org right now about getting help with gas n getting a job n all that messy logistical stuff. Regardless I still need a little cash for misc expenses (getting new glasses so I can drive safely, paying for medication copays, a haircut so i can do job interviews, rice&beans while i apply for SNAP, etc) so I'm trying to raise a modest sum of $2000 to start out- if you'd help out with a donation or a share I'd super appreciate it.
Hell, link this to your mother, your drag friends, your dry cleaner, your imam! Just please, help me get a leg up? I'm a nice gal and I've been having a rough time of it lately. I deserve some stability for once and with your help I can find that for myself, I think. Once I'm settled, I'm thinking about shooting a film about the trans internal displacement crisis here in the US so if that interests you... well, anyways... stand and deliver, traveller. (Thanks for reading all this shit. Love ya.)

Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.
Praying for a safe journey back to the spirit world, Uncle ❤️🩹🦅
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.

we need to all get angrier about ableism. we all need to be more activly aware of it and against it
why is being on time so important for every job? why dont they just care about what you get done? why is a little bit of contibution seen as worse than you not being there? why is it all about conformity?
why is being on pace so important for every study program? why do they care about complicated assignments and scores and deadlines and limited amount of attempts? if you display skill they should let you pass no?
why is everything about climbing over arbitrary bariers rather than just learning and contributing? how many people aren't disables untill authority tells them that theyre not allowed to be tired, that theyre not allwed to take it slow? that they cant sleep in even if it's what they need? how many people could contribute to our world beutifully if it werent for unnecesery barriers to entry at every job and school? why do people have to be "good enough?" isn't every contributiom valuable? dont we all deserve our place and our voice?
A section of Miss Major's Wikipedia page.
A trans sex worker named Puppy over 50 years ago getting murdered inspiring her to act more deliberately and collectively for the safety of trans sex workers. "...the start of her activism...."
"Since no one was going to do it for us, we had to do it for ourselves."
You cut off an important part.
Stonewall became the epicenter of rebellion because it was one of the few queer bars that let trans women in.
The article also touches on how drag balls were originally created by trans women for trans women.
The entire subculture was appropriated by cis gay men in the late 60's who then barred trans women from participating.
The "queer culture" that so many tme people are eager to preserve is a culture of our exclusion. They're eager to take the art we create, the movements we start, they're glad to have us fight for their rights, and then kick us to the curb while saying it's "not the time" for our rights to be defended. They sing the praises of women like Miss Major while attending "afab only" events. They talk about how awful the abuse of trans sex workers is in "afab only" support groups. They cry about the plight of homeless "trans people" while sleeping in "afab only" shelters.
They love to talk about all the good Miss Major, and many other trans women, have done while actively contributing to our exclusion and oppression. Its very clear that they do not love women like Miss Major.
We are the Omelas Children of the queer world. Their gains are built on our suffering.
"Since no one was going to do it for us, we had to do it for ourselves."
