Madoka stumbled across the Manor on her way to the library for info regarding creating her robot buddy. She knew for a fact she might run into any of the racy bots, and her blue matter powered mechanical heart might as well just blow out when she saw them. The pinkette halted when she caught sight of The Spine. Oh jeez, THE SPINE, SHIRTLESS. The poor fangirl couldn't take it. Her heart whirred loudly and her mental circuitry instantly shut down, making her fall to the floor on the spot.
The racybot immediately goes over to you, concern clear on his features. He slowly kneels beside you, large hands taking one arm while the other rests on your back.
“Are you alright, love?”
"Please don't die!" (Shining)
Shojo whimpered in his arms, tears falling from her face. She opened her eyes and looked up into his. She was so pale, nearly white. The monster’s claws had sunk deep in her chest. Her lungs were filling up with whatever blood was left in her body and wasn’t on the ground underneath her.
“Shin..ing…” she choked, coughing up blood into her hand. “Are you o.. okay..?” She was an idiot for jumping in front of him. She just wanted to be useful. For once.
“I-I’m sorry.. I thought I could.. I could save you,” she mumbled. “You… You’ve saved me.. so many *coughcough* so many times…. Thank you.. for *cough* for taking care of.. of me….”
She reached up a blood stained hand to touch his titanium alloy face. She smiled. It was almost over.
“Goodbye…”
Her hand fell to her side. Her head leaned back. Her lifeless eyes looked up at the sky. She was gone. But she had saved him. She couldn’t ask for anything more.
"DATA RECORDED. INITIALIZING CAUSAL SUBROUTINE." Said the little giraffe, and his eyes seem to flicker in color. "I'm Madoka Kaname. I've never really met a Hatchworth before. Gosh, I hope I'm not bothering you." She said.
Coy tipped his hat when the girl introduced herself and gave her a warm smile. “It is good. To meet you. Madoka human. And no, you are. Not bothering me. In the slightest.” He slowly stepped up to her, giving her a once-over and nodding in approval. “Did you need. Something. Or perhaps. Someone. Madoka human? Or did you only come. For a visit?”
"ENTITY NAME: HATCHWORTH. SUB-ENTITY NAME: ????" Pretzel loudly blared in a voice like Miku Hatsune's. "Oh, he wants to know your name. Uh. No, I decided to go exploring and I got lost again." She shrugged. "That's my robot buddy, Pretzel."
When he was identified, the bot gave the little giraffe a puzzled look, then looked up at the girl. “My name? Oh. Right.” Addressing the giraffe again, he spoke clearly. “I am. Coeval. Shortened: Coy. Pleasure to meet. You, Pretzel.” He awkwardly pet the giraffe, hoping it wouldn’t bite. “And you. Miss?” He smiled at the girl as he stood up, dusting off his knees.
Madoka didn't want to disturb him, but Pretzel was not so socially aware. He hopped from her hands to the ground and scrambled across the floor. Madoka followed the little giraffe across the long hallway, not wanting to run. He was faster than her however, and reached Hatchworth. Pretzel bapped him with his head, wanting to know who this guy was.
The bot heard a noise behind himself and he turned just in time to see a small, metal giraffe ram into him. “What is. This.” Sitting back on his haunches, he picked up the giraffe and examined it. “Must be. One of Jaunty’s. Experiments.” He shuddered and gently put the giraffe back down. He then noticed the girl down the hall. “Hello, female human,” he called out in a friendly voice. “How may I. Help you?”
Madoka timidly peeked through the doorway, wondering if she should come back later.
Past the door was a wide open room, furnished with couches and chairs. At the other end of the room and along a few other walls were long hallways that went on as far as she could see. There was also a large door in one wall of the room.
On his hands and knees, scrubbing at the grout in front of the door, was a stout-looking automaton, dressed in black and with a bowler hat on his head. If she were to look closely, she would notice the bot was spitting out black plumes of smoke every few seconds as he mumbled something under his breath.
Madoka begun to walk up the flight of stairs. Pretel decided to stop letting her carry him and he leapt off her, standing on the stair behind her. He awkwardly climbed up one stair, and struggled to go up the next. A stair creaked under Madoka's foot, and Pretzel jumped. The pinkette leaned down to pick him back up and stroked him, calming the little giraffe.
The further up the stairs she got, the lighter it became. Up ahead a few flights, a sliver of light was visible from what looked like an open door. There was also the sound of something mechanical loudly hissing coming from upstairs.
