One way that's helped me lose weight is having a salad BEFORE every dinner. I serve it alone, and finish it and wash the dish before eating my dinner. The salad is simple- 2 handfuls of baby spinach salad, 1/2 cut up cucumber, red wine vinegar, and some salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. About 50 calories and helps me control my dinner portions.
