I feel like Shiro would know all the good places to eat at around the Garrison and would invite Keith to go with him often. He enjoys the company and the cadet is very attentive to his stories.

There are rumors and half-told stories spread among the ranks of the Garrison’s special tests.
This scenario? Enemy capture, with a choice to escape or surrender... and it's Keith's turn.

People would say it was hasty, that they were too young and their futures too uncertain. But they were just getting their plans started earlier than they thought.

Shiro and Keith are always in a hurry, always off to something. But they grab what they can get in the little moments.

PreKerberos Sheith from my Twitter Bonus:
Think about Keith coming from having nothing & no one, finding his place in the Garrison & a person who always believes in him. Think about Keith excelling & becoming the top pilot of his generation. Think about him smiling without effort, without conscious thought.
Don't think about Keith in the days after losing Shiro.
Don't think about Keith losing everything he's worked for. Don't think about Keith losing the one person who ever had any faith in him. Don't think about Keith leaving the Garrison and searching franctically for something to hold on to.
Don't think about him stumbling upon the shack and the cave and the blue lions and trying to make sense out of these puzzles so that he doesn't have to wonder about the pieces his own life has become. Don't think about Keith in the shack, on the days he loosens the shackles on his emotions and lets himself cry.
Don't think about Keith, overcome with the upset, the pain, the grieving and the anger, whispering with a misplaced and temporary hatred:
"If it wasn't for you . . . my life would have been a lot different."
Don't think about that at all.
