Quote 20 - WDYMMM A AGREES TO B’S FAKE PROPOSAL!?!? <- context for quote because asking someone to be their yang in [show name] is ~kinda~ like a marriage proposal?
Quote 57 - A says it to B after taking a life for the first time, and after B died (and came back) and A blamed herself for it, when she feels like her life is spinning out of control and she's lost the one thing she thought she had, her capability and command of the station. And in all this uncertainty, the one thing she trusts, the one thing she can hold onto... is B. B, whose death tore her apart. B, who sees her as a more naive version of herself, who hated her at first, but learned to love her anyway. B, who has sacrificed herself for her so many times. And now she's asking her to take the one thing she clings to -- her position as commander -- from her, because she trusts her so much.

Quote 50 - CONTEXT: A is a spirit, so unless he gets exorcised, he cannot die and also can’t age, while B is a human and very much does. The situation is a little horrifying yeah, but also fits in the ‘basically-a-confession’ category as well. Also we find out later on that this wasn’t even a heat of the moment thing for him- he still wants (or at least wants A to ask him) to die so they can be together forever.
Quote 74 - For all of B's life, he's been told that the only thing he's good for is his suffering. All his abilities, all his skills, all that he is can only be unlocked with his raw pain. As an adult, that's now the only thing that fuels him. He's leaned into this idea of being a ball of rage because he doesn't know how else to behave. Enter A. A sees B as a whole person, not just for his abilities. And A doesn't run away from the darkness in B's mind; he accepts it. He encourages B to embrace all facets of himself, including the positive memories that B thought were lost. B hadn't been treated this kindly since he was a child, and now here is A, understanding him --- and not just that, but LOVING him, just as he is.

Quote 35 - in fairness one of these characters is a player character, so it's not going to be the same story for everyone, but these idiots fall for each other from basically minute 1, pine for THREE YEARS all the while saying insane devoted shit like A does above. when talking about a man abusing an in-universe rite known as tranquility, which strips the victim of their emotions, A can tell B 'i couldn't live to see you tranquil at that monster's hand' if they're a mage, or 'i would rather die than have that monster strip away my feelings for you' (!!!) if they're not. not at all together at this point. during the same conversation he calls B the 'one bright light in [place]' keep in mind whenever B tries to return any affection A retreats back into his shell for B's own protection.
