I’m 90% sure one of couple-breaker trio has parents on the brink of divorce and that’s why they’re so invested in this scheme. For the purpose of my Prelson agenda I’m going to say it’s Nelson.

(Also he does seem to be the main instigator in these plans so far, which is really interesting, bc given how Ray was introduced, I was expecting for him to be the leader with the other two being his goons, but it really seems like Nelson is calling most of the shots so far.)

So @poisonbrew mentioned Nelson having a thing for Vampigami and I had to draw the concept. So yeah, I present to you… nelsigami ??? I guess???

I do want to clean this up and color it digitally at some point.

Alright so this has been kinda in the back of my mind since Vampigami, and Heartfixer’s reignited it, I think Prem x Nelson has Potential, hear me out:

First off , hopeless romantic that sees the best in everyone x cynical manipulator that is actively trying to destroy all couples ? Amazing. Sign me tf up.

Second, think of the drama, picture this:

The trio (what are people calling them? Chopped trio? If someone could explain that to me, I am old, thx) comes up some elaborate plan that involves abusing Prem’s trust again, maybe they like the idea of one of the biggest romantics in school unknowingly causing drama between couples

Nelson is elected to befriend him since he’s the best manipulator of the three

But, uh oh, Prem unknowingly begins to charm him with his genuine kindness???

Like one day Prem brings Nelson a gift and Nelson’s like “why ?” And Prem just goes “I remember you like [insert thing here]” and then cheerfully walks away while Nelson kinda bluescreens. (He keeps the gift)

He doesn’t admit to himself why, but he starts to try to spend more time with Prem (for the mission of course, gaining his confidence is extremely important, that’s I need you to get me two tickets to go see The Addams Family, Ray)

His heart begins to flutter whenever Prem calls him “Prince” (especially when he smiles at him Like That) only to plunge went when he refers to others in the same way

He starts to get snippy whenever Ray and Loïc “playfully” hint to Prem that his feelings towards Rose are romantic.

Meanwhile Prem is originally delighted to see Nelson try to make amends for the events in Vampigami (Nelson claims it was unintended)

Seeing Nelson “genuinely” try to reform from his old ways endears him more to Prem, who starts to fall for him (but doesn’t realize it at first. I like to think that even though he loves romance, he also really loves friendship and doesn’t necessarily notice when his own feelings go from the latter to the former)

His friends are suspicious, especially Zoé, who tries to warn him repeatedly, but Prem just assures him that people can change and he believes Prince Nelson is a thoughtful, geneuine, handsome guy, and huh maybe he likes him more than he realizes, thank Princess Zoé, for helping me see clearly through my feelings! (Zoé is so upset that she brought on this development)

Meanwhile Loïc and Ray finally confront Nelson, about why he’s spending so much time with Prem with no real results, and, honestly ? one would almost think he’s in love with the guy. Nelson’s like no guys you got it all wrong, I just think it’s funny how gullible he is, let me reiterate in great detail how I’m just playing him and how much I hate romance and wish to break couples up.

But, GASP, Prem heard everything oh nooooooooo. He gets akumatized, maybe something about turning bad people good, by transforming them into princes and princesses? Ladybug and Chat Noir intervene.

Ray and Loïc are like, ohhhh so your plan was to break his annoying belief in kindness and romance, that’s so awesome, sorry for doubting you, bro

Nelson later seeks out Prem in secret to try and explain away what he heard but Prem’s like “no I should thank you, Nelson. You helped me realize how naive I’ve been. Now I know the world is full of liars. But also never talk to me again.”

And that’s all I have right now I wasn’t really planning on essentially outlining a fanfic lmao, but I might write this at some point, with a proper ending.

Prelson Headcanons!

A collection of headcanons I have for Prem, Nelson and some of the other characters, who become relevant in the fic. Idk if all of these will appear in the fic itself, it depends on how it evolves!

Prem:

a theater kid, obviously

In the tradition of every teenager in this school being a prodigy in whatever hobby is they have (affectionate), his dream is writing musicals

The Vampigami design was originally his self-insert OC for Vampire Musical Horrific Show

He is cringe and he is free

Too trusting for his own good, will actually go against his gut to see the good in others/give the benefit of the doubt

He feels very intensely. Rose is his best friend and his feelings are entirely platonic

He’s also friends with Zoé as they are both in Drama Club

Will have a growth spurt eventually and will generally grow up to be fairly tall (something Nelson is totally Normal about)

His mother is Indo-Mauritian and is a dancer

His father is Bengali, born in France. He’s an animator

They met when his father needed references for specific dance moves. They are still madly in love to this day

He’s kinda chaotic and forgetful but he tries his best (undiagnosed neurodivergence?)

Likes watching Bollywood musicals because it makes him feel connected to India, he’s never been though, most of his family is either in France or Mauritius. (but also he loves the singing and choreography Re:theater kid)

Nelson:

Had a Greek Mythology phase, now has a “too cool to even have a hobby” phase

Loves strategy games, like chess and scrabble, used to have board game nights with his parents, not so much anymore

Hates when things don’t go the way he’s planned

Is afraid of horror movies, but won’t admit it

Thinks musicals are unserious

Favorite movie is the Guardian of the Galaxy trilogy (he thinks aliens are cool and he has ZERO attachment to the found family themes, guys /j)

His mom works for an art collector and his dad has a vague Buisness Job and they are always arguing

Nelson and Loïc are childhood friends, Ray joined recently at the beginning of the year

He tends to take both of them for granted

Before Ray, Loïc and Nelson were already menaces. They would both egg each other on, but Nelson had been taking more of a leader role

Zoé:

Is quite protective of Prem, especially once she notices him hanging around Nelson

Her and Ray were in the same toxic friend group in New York, both were competing for the attention of group’s lead bully, a girl I haven’t found a name for

She and this girl had kind of a toxic situationship going on, à la Mean Girls, Jennifer’s Body, etc

Loïc and Ray:

Both of them have kind of a “third wheel syndrome”

Ray is kinda insecure because he’s the newest addition, he overcompensates by flashing his money and expensive gifts (which he also did back in New York)

Loïc feels a little out of place as he doesn’t have as much money. He also feels dumb around Nelson and Ray sometimes. (He’s not, really, he just has a more direct communication style)

(I’m wondering if I should make them kiss)

Anyway, to expand on my previous post, Nelson and Prem are giving me “soon-to-be child of divorce x that child of the most sickeningly in-love couple you’ll ever meet” vibes

The fic is still going strong btw! I’m at 18K words and it’s only part one 💀 (ya I have 3 parts planned I am praying so hard to the hyperfixation gods to let me finish it 😭)

I finally was able to find a way to balance the perspectives more bc for most of the first part Nelson’s POV is like slowly evolving and falling for Prem

Meanwhile every time I cut to Prem’s POV it’s like: “wow Nelson’s such a good friend 😊 (it would crush me if this turned out be a lie)”

And it got boring really fast lmao

But it’s all good, Prem has hobby outside of Nelson now 👍🏽 I’ll post a wip soon
