Summary-Ray and Mary are in the car having an argument. He smokes too much. She eats too many sweets. What color ball should they get their niece? Only the dog in the backseat doesn't contribute to the argument. Finally a decision is made. Mary will get a special purple kickball for the niece and Ray will get the cheap cigarettes. Neither of them know this will be the last argument.

Pros-A series of ordinary things that add up to one hell of a bad day. What happened to the dog was unfortunate, but also added the cherry on top to the story. A brief return to Castle Rock.

Cons-Once again the ending fell flat.

I like a lot of short stories and think Steven King is p overrated, but I enjoyed this one a lot. Read it and then tell me when you remembered, because it hit me like a truck

Hey Everyone,

I'm kicking some reading butt today! 

Stopping by with a review of Premium Harmony, a short story by Stephen King. This was pretty good I have to say. Definitely a cautionary tale about how sour a relationship can get over time. 

The best part is that it's free on The New Yorker website where it was first published. Definitely check it out for a good quick read. Took me about 20 minutes.
