I can't decide on an AP Physics 1 prep book??? None of them have good reviews and I need one that covers what you need for the exam :-(
What are the best ACT prep books?
What is the best SAT prep book besides the Blue Book?

that randomly generated string of letters + numbers is to make buying the College Board published "Official Study Guide for the SAT Subject Tests" a bit less painful.
specifically, 10% less painful.
I just found this out the other day, but test prep programs are NOT allowed to use released test materials--that means, if you register for Kaplan or Princeton review programs, they are NOT allowed to use REAL testing materials.
thus, it's one of the reasons that i like borrowing the REAL prep books from my local library--you know for sure that those tests are the real deal: the wording, the choices, content, etc. will get as similar as you can get to the real test on test day.
What is a good prep book?
A: Newer doesn't necessarily mean better. Flip through it!
most important factor: Does it have a practice test?
the more may be better--it's about practice, and getting familiar with the questions: how they are worded, the types of questions, etc.
for subjects like reading and math, they are the same questions over and over, so just learn how to refine your skills by taking test after test! sit down every friday for one section & in a month, you'll be more than ready.
ID your weak spots & work on them.
Ask yourself this:
Does it have review notes? Do you need them? or are you gonna use your own notes?

I don't know about exactly how i feel about their books, but ALL my friends endorse The Princeton Review's Prep books.
they say that it for sure beats Barron's (the other big name in prep books)
if you're interested in more college + testing related stuff, you should go to my real high school blog... this is just my free-for-all. i wrote the last few posts so i can link it to my HS blog, which is HS: for High School.
