Still getting used to my new space; I've officially lived here in this city for a month now and I love it. I see the city lights spread out for mile after glittering mile every night and the mountains have a majesty to them that I don't think I'll ever get used to.
This is my study space! I hope to get some stuff up on my grid that is a little more inspiring to look at. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed here. We have two exams and two skills checks next week and I really don't feel that great about the surface anatomy skills check I just finished. Every body was making simple mistakes though, so I'm in good company. We're all still just getting the hang of things.
This is the palmeris longus. This is my least favorite muscle to date. I almost didn't pursue PT because I know that I can be a little squeamish. I used to physically shudder when someone said "tendon" around me. And here is palmeris longus. Most of the palpable part of palmeris longus is extremely tendinous, and extremely ropey. You palpate it by bending your elbow and then your wrist to 90* so that your arm looks a bit like a snake, and then you touch your thumb to your pinky, and there's palmeris longus, in a its ropey tendinous glory.
