ATTRACTIVE . accepting .

                    SHE COULD JUST TAKE the easy way out . gaze lingers on him , looking him over ; INSPECTING . ishikawa knows it , he does TOO --- he’s aesthetically pleasing . a pretty boy . nice to look at . whatever version of ATTRACTIVE she wants to equivocate to him . she doesn’t want to call him ATTRACTIVE , as that means admitting whatever he holds in his heart is pretty too ; but she’s not seen it . it might be THERE , but she doesn’t want to assume .   not YET . small lips part , unsure of what to say , and then ---

It’s not the fact that Oikawa-san notices that surprises him  --  it’s the fact that he doesn’t sound derisive for once.  He never really understood, but Oikawa-san never hid his want of seeing his opponent’s crestfallen faces.  If his tone had been any other way, he would have hid his hand behind his back until the elder went away, but he figures Oikawa was attentive enough to notice the athletic tape around his wrist.

     “...I sprained my hand.”  He admits bitterly, lifting the pathetic and useless thing before tucking it back into his pocket.  “...Gonna take two weeks to heal.”

     A setter can’t perform with just one hand and Suga-san had to bar him from the gym, knowing he’d try to practice otherwise.  Two weeks was a lot of experience to be missing out on when everyone else was using that time to practice.  Two weeks would be the longest break he’s ever taken from volleyball, and he hates it.
