Remember when we had a President who was a decent human being? #tbt
Nothing Was The Same
AN IDEA & A QUESTION
In the aftermath of a particularly big deal Presidential election that has left many people feeling vulnerable and uncertain of their place and security in the United States, including undocumented residents and people of Muslim faith, among many others, I found myself wishing I could wear something -- a pin or badge? -- that would be recognized throughout the country as saying to my brothers and sisters who are Muslim or Jewish or Latino or African American or disabled or others who may feel threatened or oppressed "I honor your humanity." The idea is to have something that counters fear and division with an affirmation of common humanity.
That's the idea. And here's the question (if you think that it's an idea worthy of pursuit): do you know of anyone with the marketing savvy and social media reach to get something like this moving? If so, I invite you to pass this along to them.
Note: I'm seeing this not as a political but as a moral gesture. Although I may situate myself on the left side of the political spectrum, I believe that many folks who are right of center share the commitment to the value of human diversity and to keeping our country whole in the face of fracturing forces, and I would want them to feel that they can participate without signaling a move from their political orientation.

Post election protest
If you had the capacity and ability to vote and did not vote during the elections I don’t want to see you on the streets protesting and complaining about Trump.
Guys whAT the FUcK has the United States COME TO?
I’m not talking about Trump getting elected! I’m talking about both sides beating the crap out of each other!
No seriously! It’s time to stop! It’s not right! I know you may see it as “justice” or something like that! BUT IT’S NOT OKAY!!!! If you want to protest fine, but NOT BY HURTING OTHERS! WE ARE NOT MALCOLM X! WE CAN PROTEST PEACEFULLY I MEAN COME ON PEOPLE!
Interviewer: "What makes you think you are qualified?"
Me: "Nothing, but apparently that's enough to be on president."
Interviewer: "You're hired."
Because of the turn out of the election
