Commitment - Part 2

Never underestimate the power of commitment to hold you back in life. There are examples throughout history of people doing the same thing day in and day out, just because they think it's bad to quit. This blog could be an example. Say I run out of things to say in a year, but I refuse to quit. How many thousands of pointless posts will I have made? How worthless would it be to you, or even a publisher? What about those couples who have been married 60+ years, despite the fact they dislike each other? There’s an element of idiocy there too. Committing to something you don't enjoy or love is one of the simplest ways to waste your life away, and it is often one of the most over looked. It requires a level of foresight that many people just don’t have. Yet those same people will criticize those who quit something. Bottom line - commitment can be a powerful thing in your life. For good and for bad. You just have to know when to stick it out, and when to quit.
