When they first started hooking up, preston wouldnt care abt his nail length- yk him not caring abt himself and all that jazz- however, later on when he saw the scratches on marcus' back (trust marcus liked it) , he started taking better care of his nails and trimming them just so he wouldnt hurt marcus

Preston has a thing that even when they were enemies, he searched for Marcus EVERYWHERE, and he tried to convince himself that it's just because he wanted to be prepared for their confrontation, but it was mostly just because he felt weirdly safer with Marucs in the room

While the car is originally Prestons, Marcus is the one that drives it most of the time because Pres says he's too lazy. In reality, he just wants to be a passenger princess

After Pres "died", Marucs refused to delete Preston's number, and instead he spammed it with everything that he wished should've said to Preston, and also texted him little stupid updates like "Your team lost, you would've hated this" or "You'd hate this weather”

Marcus sleeps with his hand on Pres's pulse point after he comes “back” to life because he needs to remember that Pres is alive again

Marcus makes sure his fridge and pantry are full with foods pres likes. Even if it's something Marcus wouldn't normally eat, he'd have it just in case Preston decided to come over and crash the night.

Marcus and Preston stay up late at night to talk about anything. At first, it started as a way to get Preston to fall asleep, but then it just became a daily routine to get to know more about the other

Preston always steals Marcus's hoodies and keeps them in his car just because he loves the way they smell like Marcus and because they usually comfort him after a rough day. Marcus notices it and starts purposely leaving his hoodies in Pres's car without saying anything 😭

Whenever Preston goes out to parties and gets high or drunk, you'll always find Marcus a few feet away making sure nobody tries anything with Preston

Every time Marucs shows up with bruised knuckles after a fight, Pres always always gets out a first aid kid and bandages it up for him. And then, after that starts happening, Marcus would never admit it but he starts getting into more fights just so that Pres can fuss over him.

Marcus makes sure to crush Preston's meds into the food he cooks for him because pres sometimes forgets to take them

When Pres starts to show up to Marcus's apartment more, he never fully asks if he can stay or wtv. He'll just come in, throw his hockey bag somewhere random, and flop onto Marcus's couch or smth like this is his home too now. (And Marcus pretends to be annoyed but one night when Pres doesn't show up, he started to check his front door obsessively like smths wrong)

One time, Preston got really really drunk and Jude was nowhere to be found, so Marcus steps in and tries to get Preston to leave. However, pres being the stubborn one, keeps pushing Marcus away and trying to grab more drinks. Ever since then, Marcus threatens the bartender to stop giving pres more than 5 drinks a night

Preston has tiny freckles on his nose and cheeks, like you can't even see it tiny, and Marcus is obsessed with them, and also knows the exact count of it by day

Preston used his body to get whatever he wants, but part of the reason he didn't like Marcus was that he didn't care. He was unaffected. Preston tried provoking him with words, with his body, but all Marcus ever focused on was Prestons face

Marcus learned to cook from his mom because they would always sit tg in the kitchen and play songs and things even though they were broke. Prestons mom was the opposite, she never cooked, and when she did it would be quiet as hell, like Preston wouldn't be allowed to make a sound or even step foot into the kitchen. When pres and marcus got tg, Marcus started to treat Preston like Marcus' mom used to treat him, and it was Soo new for Preston he was confused at first

Marucs always makes sure that Pres gets home (cough, by stalking him, cough), and Preston never found out till the day of their breakup when he turns over and he still sees Marcus following 😭

Preston totally has a collection of Marcus' hockey merch. Like he thought Dahlia would've worn his number or something, so he bought the plushies the shirts, literally everything and has it stored away

Basically the reason why Preston hates silence is because he feels that everytime that someone is silent around him, they're pitying him or worrying about him, and that's why he always falls up the space with random rants, except for when with Marcus. Marcus is the only person that he can be quiet with because he knows for a fact that Marcus would never pity him (and definitely worry but not make it seem like it's because he's fragile)

Preston always steals Marcus's side of the bed when they sleep together, LIKE HE IS THE LITERAL DEFINITION OF SLEEPING LIKE A STARFISH, and Marcus always makes fun of him over it while Pres tells him to shutup in the morning when he wakes up in Marcus's side 😭
