These pressure machine commentaries.... 🚬❤️🩹
So Brandon Flowers just announced a new solo album and I'm slipping back into my Killers obsession maybe a little... (The Killers were my 2024 hyperfixation, pre-this account)
I am currently relistening to Hot Fuss again and plan to relisten to all of the Killers' albums again. But Hot Fuss is up there as one of my absolute favorites and I'm in love all over again! I think that some of the same dark elements I love about Anakin (that I obviously love within the context of how fun and angsty they are) are found within Hot Fuss. The Murder Trilogy!!!
Apparently fictional soft men with homicidal tendencies are my favorite type of fictional people? The character Brandon portrays in the Murder Trilogy makes me feel a similar way to watching Revenge of the Sith for some reason... I don't know lol
There is a connection between Anakin and Hot Fuss, I'm sure of it!!! At the moment, the only one I can see is All These Things That I've Done paired with Anakin... But I will listen to the rest of their albums and see if I can find something!!
Also Desperate Things from Pressure Machine... but only the last line of the song...
When you're in love, you can be blinded by your own heart... You bend your own truth, so twisted up, you can justify sin... When people in love are desperate enough to abandon their dreams... People do desperate things...
i am not the target demographic for the abridged version of pressure machine. truly i cannot fathom listening to the album without the interstitials
this fucking album has got me again (has it ever not?)
im crashing out over my living situation which means pressure machine is back as my soundtrack
yeah customer service jobs are generally pretty thankless and you really do interact with some of the rudest and/or cruelest people you’ll ever meet but also sometimes you will be handing off an order to some random middle aged man and he will ask you if you like a band that you actually happen to love and when you tell him as much he will say “i have something for you” and pull out this from his trunk
and then you’ll have a framed signed record from a band that you’ve been listening for longer than you can remember and will have to spend the last three hours of your shift hiding it from your managers
