Well, you see, when I was born, my parents always knew I would end up being a piece of shit. So to get back at me, they chose my Viet name, Hoc, so it’d coincide with this English acronym: Hoe Of Colour.

My English name, Douglas, was because my dad was a huge nerd who liked Doogie Howser MD, and derived Douglas from Doogie.

Hoc also means learn in Viet, because my dad was a nerd

Seeing as majority of the Vietnamese population has the same last name as I do is enough proof.

No, our trainer is actually extremely vague, it’s really weird. Before practices everyday I have to go to her office and all she does is tell me to massage my ankle and once it gets bad during practice, usually during or right after we do ladders, she gives me ice. I was never told what was wrong either (but I believe it’s one of the flexors in my leg so I’ve been doing my best to stretch it out)! I played in the past 2 games, that we lost unfortunately, but hopefully I’ll also be able to play in Tuesdays game!
