masque; what’s your skincare routine?

Morning: wash face with Cetaphil, vitamin C serum (think I'm using La Roche Posay atm? but also use Revolution), Olay face lotion, sunscreen. Body I use Aveeno lotion and sunscreen.

Night: wash face with Cetaphil, serum (Cosrx Snail Mucin or Cerave retinol), then Ren calm overnight balm.

Once a week or less, I also use the The Ordinary AHA + BHA peeling serum which makes me feel like Elizabeth Bathory cuz it looks like blood. 🧛‍♀️

I've got sensitive skin, so lots of brand loyalty when I find something that works.

I love Caroline Hirons' Skincare book and Sally Hughes, The Guardian's beauty writer, to help navigate ingredients and better understand that stuff. And my friend who is really hot on Korea skincare, they all keep me in the loop.

Silk: what outfit makes you feel confident?

- oh gosh - many! I specifically purchase clothing items that make me feel good! I spent way too many years hiding away and pretending I was happy in subpar designs. Cw body image/childhood trauma; I grew up constantly policed by my peers. There were clothing items I was not encouraged to wear, and as I was alone in my corner, other things I dare not wear because I didn’t know where the bullying would come from on any given day. It was hard. It twisted what I saw in the mirror for many years, and it’s still a work in progress - I only started wearing miniskirts again in the last year.

That being said, I doodled one of my favorite summer dresses;

I wore this dress the day my asshole aunts and useless uncles visited last, and it helped make me feel fabulous in the face of all the memories the visit dredged up ✨

I want to go to Greece SO badly. I don't know that I'll ever be able to afford international travel, but that is the place I'll go if I ever can. So much beauty and history to see and good food to be had! 💕

oasis; dream destination? 

ooo so i'm a sucker for the beach, i love laying in the sun and swimming in the ocean, but I've kind of learned that living near the beach sucks lmao and i miss the mountains that i grew up with (the rocky mountains) so i would love to end up where I have the mountains to admire and hike through with a lake that I can swim in or go fishing in, or even just lay on a dock with my feet in the water <3

Lavender- I love red and pink roses the most because of their Power, beauty and higher vibration; the simplicity of them yet they stand out the most. Not just because my name is Rose. I really do prefer them. I will buy my own flowers. 🌹

Sunshine- my fav weather is definitely fall and with a mixture of a lot of sunlight in-between because I can become very depressed if it's too cold, wintery, rainy and dark. I also prefer tropical areas even with the moisture but not the insane heat. I live in Colorado so I'm used to dry, cold and odd weather mixtures.

Delightful- so my favorite words in particular to say irl especially when describing anything🥰 art, excellent, dreamy, oh thank heavens, glorious, blossoming, absolutely splendid, beautiful, haunting, exquisite, magical, goodness, meadow (my daughter's name) heavens, elegant, dazzling, indeed, puzzling, remarkable, euphoric. Ect.

Jewels- Do I like animals,Yes. Love my family you mean. I believe they are angels. Especially dogs. I've always loved and cared for all animals everywhere I go. Cats follow me around the neighborhood, dogs follow and love everyone don't they? Every animal I come across has shown me something, signs as well. They know I will provide and protect them too. All my cats have passed away in the past a long time ago, I used to treat them like royal babies. 😂I also have my babygirl Yorkie who's been with me for a very long time, she's the most beautiful teacup Yorkie. She had some health scares, I'm very protective over her.

Chamomile- Hmm if I was to get poetic with this it would get out of control 😂, so many perfumes, oils I'm gatekeeping. Love,😉 but no I love, the smell of coffee grounds. And breakfast. UGH. I love the scent of too many things to name. I love going to stores and places just to smell them. 😭 So coffee, scents I'm gatekeeping and the scent of my baby girl when I'm holding her.
