9th August - What was the last movie you watched?
The Shining, I didn’t find it to be conventionally scary at first reflection because it had very few sudden appearances of scary objects, but later found myself thinking about the plot and the acting long after watching it. An interesting fact I learnt about the movie was that the most famous scenes including the twins, tricycle, the maze, the blood wave and “ here’s Johnny” didn’t actually exist in the book. Also, King was supposedly unhappy with Jack’s inapparent character arc in the movie which was better described in the book.

The Paper Chronicles
#TipTuesday - Washi Control
If you’re like many planner girls out there, or if you do any kind of crafts, you probably have a few rolls of washi tape.  Because washi tape cannot be an addiction and having more than 5 rolls is crazy.  Yeah, that was sarcasm ;) Â
I have just begun my planner decorating addiction (because when you know you don’t need it and still buy it, seek it, want it, let’s be honest...it’s an addiction) and I have more washi tape than I am willing to admit.  So I have been wondering a way to store it while still easily visible AND accessible.
I was using a box from a subscription service and it was working great until my collection outgrew it. Â I planned on buying some of those fancy acrylic storage drawers at the container store, the ones you might have seen a lot of beauty gurus showcase on their videos. Â But while I was walking around my local Marshalls a better, and more affordable, option presented itself.
I saw the drawers you see above but they were not meant for makeup or stationery.  The one on the right was advertised as a Glass Vanity organizer.  It’s perfect because of the two dividers in each drawer, giving me six compartments to neatly store AND display my washi tape.  At the top there is also room to easily store pens, markers, clips, etc.
I searched for a second one but only found the one you see on the left. Â This one had a total of three drawers and was advertised as a Coffee Pod Organizer. Â It was a good alternative with the only downside being the lack of dividers in the drawers. Â My solution was to store the washi rolls differently to avoid them moving all over every time I opened the drawers.Â
Each unit is about 6″x6″x6″ except for the two drawer one which is about 4.5″ tall.  Each drawers is about 2″ tall.  Both units are holding a total of 136 washi rolls of varying sizes with one whole drawers to spare.  That’s not counting the two washi dispensers on top.
I will be visiting other local Marshalls to see if I can find one or two more of the glass vanity organizer.  I just love the dividers it comes with.  If you’d like to purchase them online the links are below. Amazon has them at a much higher price, so I do suggest checking your local stores first.
