I wanna talk a little bit about Star Detective Precure because I think that the setting is the boldest writing decision that Toei has made in years. So right off the bat, we know that it’s going to be set in 1999, and the lead cure is from 2027 but was sent to 1999, which is kinda crazy but I kind of love it. I’m interested to see how Toei will balance the standardised precure plot with 90s nostalgia, and seeing how a teenager from the modern day adapts to the 90s. In a world without smartphones, where it’s normal to be unreachable for several hours at a time, and you can’t use the internet without having access to a computer, I imagine that Anna is going to have quite the culture shock lol

(Also Toei plz give us some 90s Pretty Holic stuff. We need Pretty Holic lipsmackers, cucumber melon body spray and scented body glitter lol)

Also I forgot Ageha was the "Pretty Holic girl" of Hirogaru Sky. Like Kokone, her family doesn't run a Pretty Holic store (like Sango's and Mayu's moms), but she does frequent it.

(Also I'm pretty sure the background music is the Dual Aurora Wave theme music from Futari Wa Precure. I think the explosion shot at 1:49 is also from the Dual Aurora Wave sequence).
