My Kitty and Me
Dean was the luckiest guy in the whole wide world. He had the best brother ever, a steady paying job, a roof over his head, and the most beautiful neko in existence as a companion. Castiel was the very definition of perfect in Dean’s personal dictionary. Dark, messy hair that looked like permanent bed head. Big, gorgeous blue eyes that looked like they were staring right into Dean’s soul. A rough, gravely voice that was unique to Castiel. And the most precious kitty ears and tail that Dean had ever had the pleasure of seeing. His ears were perfect for lovingly scratching behind, and his tail was so soft that Dean adored petting it.
One of his favorite things to do was cuddle with Castiel. He’d sit on the couch with a beer, watching some Dr. Sexy, with his precious kitty curled up beside him or even on his lap. Dean would happily run his fingers through Castiel’s hair, pet his tail, rub his tummy or back, or even nuzzle his ears. He’d wrap Cas up in his arms (and sometimes a blanket if it were a cold night) and just snuggle him to his heart’s content. To everyone else, Dean was a tough guy. Only Castiel got to see this side of him.
It was somewhat frowned upon, but not uncommon, for humans to fall in love with their nekos. After all, nekos were basically the same as humans except for the addition of kitty ears and a tail. And Dean had always proudly identified as a bisexual, so Castiel’s gender didn’t matter either. What did matter to Dean was the years he had spent with Cas, getting to know each other and their bond growing stronger until they were practically inseparable. He hadn’t told Cas how he felt yet, but he definitely loved him.
One day, Dean came home from work and called for his kitty. “Cas, come ‘ere! I got you some more treats!” There were several brands of treats geared towards nekos because of their tastes being similar to a cats. Dean knew Cas liked those things, so he always made sure to have some on hand. Because Cas was perfect and always deserved treats! “Oh and I gotta tell you something, sweetheart.” He added with a grin.
