Yesterdag i managed to get the teenagers i work with to keep silent for two minutes to remember all the people who died during the world war. Then had a discussion about right wing politics and discrimination. But if you are worried about your personal future ( like the teenagers in our grouphome ) its hard to have the energy to care about others. I think that might be the reason of lots of stuff at the moment. If you are hungry or scared you go back to your basic survival instincts and dont have room or energy for empathy. I once read a an article that if you are poor you score lower on IQ test then when you are financial comfortable. So this right wing bull about being responsible for your own situation and that your poor by choice is nonsens.
