“Alright. It’s been half an hour more, and no sign of him and nothing on the phone. Let’s break out and go to his apartment. Best case scenario, he’s simply sleeping in because he went to bed too late. Worst case scenario...anyway, let’s go!”
Nakarai whirled his arm about and gestured for the other guys to follow him. Ever to live up to his role as Juuzou’s second-in-command, the blond was quick to take charge of the others. Hanbee had a fair point and Nakarai was worried about Juuzou himself. He would have suggested going to check on him had Hanbee not been the one to bring it up first. Shoes and coats shuffled about as he and the others moved to leave the room, and the building and they all make haste towards Hanbee’s van. He’d been the one to suggest it so it would be his car they’d be taking. Besides, the squad wanted to go together and this was the only car big enough to allow that.
Upon reaching Juuzou’s apartment complex, the boys piled out of the van clumsily, being that Tamaki tripped and knocked Miyuki out of the back and only managed to get themselves standing back and at alert when Nakarai gave his signature stare that clearly was not only ominous looking but a stare of judgement. Tamaki supposed he didn’t blame Nakarai for being agitated, one way or another they wall were when Juuzou wasn’t around or rather more, when Juuzou couldn’t be confirmed as anything less than safe and well taken care of. The boys all knew that Juuzou was recovering from a lot of issues. How he had difficulty keeping food down...keeping up with his hygiene.
Hanbee in particular was moving very quickly, not even caring if he bumped into anything or anyone so long as he made it to the doorstep of Juuzou’s apartment. He fished around in his pockets for his keys though was panicked to find he couldn’t feel them amidst the large amount of sweets and junkfood he had stashed in his pockets for Juuzou. Ever since Haise went away, Hanbee had done his very best to fill the void that the other’s betrayal had left behind for them all but none more so than Juuzou. Not very many people were genuinely kind to their leader and yet Haise was one of the rare ones who was, and what did that puddingheaded asshole do? He left. Betrayed them for ghouls and far as they were aware, had killed Arima. But even so, Juuzou never forgot his kindness. He talked about it often.
Miyuki looked on as Hanbee panicked and grew frantic while Nakarai remained calm and grabbed Hanbee to make him be still, shoving a hand into his own pocket and producing his key. All the members of the squad had a copy of Juuzou’s house key, in case of times like these where they needed to make themselves presence. Miyuki knocked on the door, while Nakarai inserted his key into the mechanism and waited a moment. “Juuzou-sama, dear cosmos, we’re here to check on you!’’ No response. Nakarai grunted a little as he turned the key and pushed the door open after unlocking it and giving the knob a turn, the blond being the first to take a step inside. “Juuzou-sama!’’ He called, entering the walkway and removing his shoes, the others following suit.
