Truth!! The anger around having to tip is because deep down they know that the reason service employees are struggling is because people don’t tip(and institutional reasons). People are responsible for taking advantage of hard work but they don’t want to pay for it. He don’t tip but it makes him guilty so he’ll complain about the staff/service.

gods that sucks :( I swear it's just a power trip thing when teachers/professors pull this shit :/

I mean I get that he wants us to write better academically and I can appreciate that but I feel like it might've been more helpful to have multiple papers over the semester instead of one paper where we had no idea what is true expectations are. It's kind of a Dick move.
