Gabrielle always enjoyed her morning walks through the grounds of the castle. It was one of the few times of peace at the French court, and mostly because everyone was still asleep. Only the servants were out this early, and they tended to avoid her in the morning.
Something was different. It sounded like there were foot steps coming from the woods. No one ever went in there. Except Bash, but she knew he was still in his chambers. Cautiously, she entered the woods, making sure to stay near the edge.
"Hello? Is anyone in here?" she called as she glanced around her.
