A world of chaos and uncertainty 🌍
Evening all.
This blog was something I've wanted to do for a while - but never really had the chance to build it. Today I thought - what better time then the present.
I figured my first post should touch on something we are all dealing with right now - in one way or another. COVID19.
I personally have been on self-isolation for a few days now (I am not sick but had been in contact with someone who had family visit from outside of the country). It is not a fun time, break from work or a vacation - but it has allowed me to reflect on life a little bit, and what’s going on in our world.
My heart goes out to anyone personally impacted by this COVID19 - whether it be a family member, friend or yourself. My prayers are with you.
For the doctors, the nurses, the paramedics and all other essential service providers - the people that can’t stay home - thank you for doing what you do and braving this storm and helping care of us Canadians, and people around the world. You are the real heroes. ✰
As for the rest of us - the ones layed off due to businesses closing, people on isolation and everyone else in between - let’s do our part in making sure that as few people as possible have to experience COVID19.
We need to take a time out.
Stay Home. Binge watch Netflix or try out Crave. Do a puzzle or knit a damn blanket. Start a blog! This isn’t about you anymore, it’s about protecting the vulnerable and ensuring that this virus doesn’t spread any further than it has already.
The times are tough now and they are going to get worse before they get better. And if we are going to give ourselves a fighting chance, it has to start with change. With us.
Feel free to share in the comments what ideas you’ve come up with occupied while at home.
