deimos was laying face first on rhys’ couch. he had been considering becoming a human for a few weeks now (he knew it wasn’t as simple as just becoming human. but he knew it was possible) and ever since he realize it was something he wanted it was hard for him to be around rhys. so he been avoiding him as best he could for a someone who lived with rhys and didn’t have a real life outside of his apartment.
it wasn’t that he disliked being a demon. he had a fairly good existence so far so he didn’t have any complaints. it was more that he had started like rhys too much. deimos wanted to be someone who could take care of rhys, he wanted to have an actual future with him too. he wanted to be his real boyfriend and not just some demon that refused to move out his apartment.
rhys was going to get older, he was going to mature and maybe want a family. what if he decided he wanted deimos to go away? he didn’t want that. deimos didn’t even know if rhys liked having him around currently. surely, he would’ve asked deimos to leave by now if that was the case. unless he was scared of him since he was a demon but deimos felt like he had long since proved himself harmless.
he was tiring himself out. it was far too much work keeping this hidden from rhys than it should be. deimos just wasn’t sure how to break the news to him - or rather ask him if that was something he’d be okay with. because if rhys didn’t want deimos around there was not point in him becoming human.
he left out a long groan into the cushion kicking his legs slightly. deimos didn’t think rhys would be home soon therefore he felt it was safe to stay in his spot and continue wallowing in his indecisiveness.
