Summary:
Henry has been tasked with rebuilding Pribyslavitz, and he recruits Sir Hans to help him. It is no simple undertaking however, and Henry has much emotional and physical exhaustion creeping up on him. His path is paved with violence. The Lord of Pirkstein in turn has a lot to prove, but a lot to learn. From Henry’s journal: Sir Divish has appointed me bailiff of Pribyslavitz. I can hardly believe it! Together with Locator Marius we'll oversee the resettling. I am excited. And nervous. I must do this right. This is the good break I have wanted for the others. I do what I can, but employing a handful and giving them a portion of the groschen I scrounge up only goes so far. Alms cannot replace belonging, and try as we might, Rattay will forever see us as outsiders, refugees. Leeches. I can give them a HOME. It will never replace Skalitz. But it will be their own. I’ll need help, more than just Locator Marius. Sir Hans always tells me how bored he is. I could ask his help, no doubt he has education on running a town. But it wouldn’t be proper. He is heir to Rattay, his lordship shouldn’t concern with some ruins in nowhere. I’m not sure I’d trust his words of wisdom, in any case.

Hans blinked rapidly.
Henry continued: “Sir Divish said that he needed someone to run the town, to keep things running, and–and he said that I’m… good at keeping the peace, so. So he appointed me.”
Hans simply looked at him.
Henry fiddled with his gauntlets. He felt jittery all over his skin. He had the urge to continue talking: “And, he had a letter written, sealed, for me to deliver to the bailiff here.”
Hans was suspiciously silent.
The lordling shifted in the saddle and looked down at Šemík's mane.
“But… but you’re my page.”

Church of Pribyslavitz, rebuilt
i got so emotional when i finally got around to fully rebuilding the church, not because i am religious (because i am Not), but because i was, and still am, very touched by the frescoes within and what they depict. the triptych too sent me into a teary eyed mess on stream because wow... it's beautiful!! i have such love for the Warhorse artists in charge of the art and mural work in this game, i need to find out their names asap... anyway here's some pics i took inside with my boy 🥹 i found more information on the fresco art etc on the kcd wiki so i'll be referencing that information for some of this post!!
Henry admiring the triptych - i had to get multiple pics of this triptych because i am actually a little bit obsessed with it!! it depicts Henry and Sir Divish praying on either side of Christ rising from the tomb. behind the altar is the people living (but death will find them) and of course the twelve disciples.
ohhhoho yes! the frescoes in the naves! on one side, the sacking of Skalitz, with our Henry escaping the battle! the Latin reads: "1403 Skalitz in flames", followed by him entering Sir Radzig's service. the Latin there reads: "God is strong and just". above is Mary, mother of God in typical red and blue dress - three angels accompany her.
on the other side, the battle of Pribyslavitz with Henry killing Runt in the top of the church. the Latin reads: "He wins the battle at Pribyslavitz", followed by Sir Divish making Henry bailiff - typically often shown in medieval art by the handing over of a literal building. the Latin reads: "The first founder of Pribyslavitz Henric von Skalitz". (why Henric? maybe an attempt to marry Jindřich and Henry? possibly a Germanic spelling? anyway). on top is a female saint (or allegorical Mother Church) with the 11 disciples under her cloak (Judas is missing, lol) - two angels accompany her.
absolutely STUNNING work no notes 10/10 wow. i love the constant detail that after the battle of Skalitz, and on the triptych, Henry has an empty scabbard where his sword is missing - lovely detail!
i had to include Mutt somehow, he was posed so perfectly in the door!! Henry once more admiring the church because that's all i was doing also. there is a detailed explanation on the wiki about what is depicted on the choir frescoes, so i will link the wiki page below if you are interested in everything!! overall, i spent waayyy too long just staring at everything with my mouth agape in pure awe. oh Henry, you are loved <33 to be immortalised in the church you rebuilt from the ashes up (hehe) must be a truly humbling feeling.... my boy.....

did they die in a lot of people's game?
Why the FUCK is there no chamomile growing anywhere in Pribyslavitz?
How is it possible I went to the trouble of building an herb garden and an alchemy bench in this godforsaken town, and I can’t even brew myself some facking padfoot potion???
There isn’t even any chamomile growing wild—i searched the whole place!
This is an outrage. Marius, can’t you do something about this????
Useless locator can’t even locate a fucking flower. Fine. Let’s see what’s up at the store.
Well well well LOOK WHO HAS CHAMOMILE FOR SALE.
Kornelius, you sly bastard. I see you.
Getting swindled by my own citizens. What an outrage.
This is so far in the past now compared to where I am in Kingdom Come: Deliverance now :-) The battle of Pribyslavitz was a real purgatory since I didn't invest much into battle training before :D Luckily an alternate way was possible for the final fight :-)
