Wanted to give one of my friends something special, she liked cactuses so....there you go. I drew and lined it, she colored it. Hug this cuddly cactus if you like it! XD

Astrology of Friday, July 20, 2018
Today could be a downright challenging day.
Mars, the warrior planet, is joined with the Lunar South Node. As I’ve written here and here, Mars is feeling mighty disgusted and angry, ready to wield his sword to cut away anything that gets in his way. The karmic South Node is open to receive the discards.
The Moon is in Scorpio all day today. In ancient astrology, Mars is said to be the ruler of Scorpio, so the Moon is reflecting the mood of the current martial marauding. We want to be in control, to exercise our power, to dig into our own darkness and root out what doesn’t belong.
This cranky Moon forms several configurations throughout today. Remember that Moon aspects are fleeting, lasting three to four hours. Many in one day can feel like a rollercoaster ride.
As the Sun comes up, the Moon and Saturn have a mostly positive talk making this early morning a good time to review and reassess goals and intentions. Release those that no longer resonate in your soul.
By the time you’ve had your coffee, the Moon engages in a nasty battle with rampaging Mars. If at all possible, get outside for vigorous solo work or exercise. Anger is likely to be spurting out of all kinds of cracks in the social fabric. That seems more and more the norm these days, but today could be even worse. Do your best not to engage.
(UPDATE: My dog and I went out the back door as the gorgeous morning sun was just lighting the trees - and we were both immediately stung by nasty white-faced hornets who have just started building a nest under the eave of our mudroom. Seems appropriately martial start to the day.)
In the early evening, the still-grouchy Moon is soothed somewhat by Venus. I say “somewhat” because Venus in Virgo is a bit out of sorts herself. It is possible to open your heart and share your feelings, but you may need to watch your tongue to avoid offense.
The Moon then joins with Jupiter by mid-evening. Typically Moon-Jupiter is a happy, generous, and contented time. Do your best to tune into that jolly vibe and relax for the rest of the evening.
The Moon and Neptune will harmonize through the post-midnight hours, bringing sweet dreams to calm beleaguered souls.
Boyfriend: *petting my legs*
Me: I know, I'm stubbly.
Him: you're like a prickly cactus
Me: A sexy cactus
Him: damn right you're a sexy cactus.
