“I found this with your flag on it, and it made me think of you.”
Mikey stared in awe at his boyfriend, feeling his cheeks flush hot. Falling under lesser seen flags, the chances of him actually finding merchandise to celebrate his sexuality were slim, often opting instead to use far more common labels to celebrate his identity.
Yet, the thin rubber bracelet, far out of fashion by several years, donned the beautiful sunset-like colours of his Cinthean flag.
“How do you always manage to find me the perfect gifts?” He croaked after a moment of shocked silence, black painted lips curving into an appreciative smile. Odysseus returned the smile, slipping the bracelet around Mikey’s pale wrist, as he pressed his lips against the shorter man’s temple.
“I observe and make educated guesses.” He halfway joked, making Mikey burst into giggles. He propped himself up on his toes, pressing a kiss on Odysseus’ neck, leaving a black kiss mark starkly on his skin.
“I’ll have to get you back. You’ve restarted a gifting war.” He murmured, mind already whirring with a thousand potential gifts. Art, woven works, a crocheted piece—
“Perhaps, just a nice dinner and a movie night.” Odysseus spoke softly against Mikey’s pointed ear, making the Cupid shudder. “You and I, in bed. Your wing curled around me as a blanket while I hold you in my arms.”
Mikey felt his cheeks burning with the enthusiasm of his nods. Nothing sounded better than that.
