Oh look, pride month is almost coming up. You know what that means... corporate pride, co-opting of the LGBT experience by kink communities and straight asexuals and aromantics, straight girls who fetishize gay men attending pride, and the classic LESBIAN ERASURE.
Pride Month Problems
I've already had to explain to (and even argue with) at least 3 of my friends about coming out this month. They cant seem to get it into their heads that, even though it is pride month and sexualities are being celebrated, some people are accepting of that stuff. Like my family.
I love that I have people who accept me but the constant pressure from them to come out is annoying beyond belief. They don't understand that it's my choice when I get to come out, not theirs. I've been called a coward and a chicken for refusing to comply with them. How can people who say they accept me for who I am, be the same people who make fun of me for my choice to not come out?
