About the FreckledRanger (Idk what the ship name of Buzz and Jessie is, so I'll call them like that) and Woody's attitude to this.
Maybe somewhere in the fanfiction of ship Buzz×Jessie Woody was the "overprotective brother" who didn't like his sister's boyfriend. But this cliché is not used in the movies, and as a fan of Ninjago, where Kai reacts very strongly to Nya and Jay, I always get into a slight stupor.
It's a common cliché, but Woody doesn't fit into it. Perhaps, maybe it's bc Pixar officially confirmed that Woody and Jesse are siblings much later after the release of the trilogy (4th movie don't exist for me).
Yeah, the moments we got with Buzz and Jessie, the situations were, to put it mildly, not conducive to turning on the "protect your little sister from the nearest man" side.
Like, bro, they were fighting the Prospector at the airport, then trying to escape from "Sunnyside" and not get burned alive in the incinerator.
Yeah..., I too don't think this is the time to worry about your best friend showing interest in your little sister.
BUT, I also like to think that Woody doesn't worry about it because he *knows* that Buzz is good for Jessie. This astroranger may still be a bit of a noob when it comes to understanding the intricacies of toy culture, but he's a loyal, understanding, and kind-hearted toy. And Woody knows this all too well.
Buzz would never, by *his* own will, harm anyone of his family. He would never forgive himself for it, and he would isolate himself to hell as punishment. If not worse... 👁👁
Moreover, I also think that if Buzz does something, Jessie, even though she's a ragdoll and Buzz is a trained soldier(albeit a fake one), will be able to fight Buzz, even if a little.
And Woody, who's maybe not very good at fighting because he's afraid of getting broken, is still a smart toy with enough experience to teach Buzz a lesson.
Like, damn, I mean, Woody was able to throw Buzz out the window, even if it was just an accident. So what happens to the astroranger if Woody really wants to *hurt* Buzz? (I mean, literally.)
Yeah, and I think, Woody will most likely slightly cringe at Buzz when he messes up his words again or doesn't convey his message correctly. Like, "Dude, I know you can do better. Lock in, pls."
And after all that, their trio is very dear to me, and if something bad happens to them(4th movie e.g., cough cough), I won't be able to bear it...
hi i decided to doodle some pride siblings for pride month
Happy 21st birthday to these precious toys! Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives. 💕
I tried to make a redraw of this concept art from Toy Story 4. Welp now it’s just Woody and Jessie without a background.
