Today I honour @pidgeo_n - Intersex and intersectional advocate and activist. In addition to looking absolutely gorgeous in purple lipstick, Pidgeon is a role model and community leader in the fight for Intersex recognition and validity. • • • They challenge the false notion of sex as binary and will not give up in calling medical professionals to accountability for the harm caused to infants and children in the name of this false idea. Today I honour Zenju Earthlyn Manuel, author of ‘The Way of Tenderness’ and ‘Sanctuary’ and one of the most profoundly impactful teachers I have ever had the great blessing to practice with and learn from. • • • I cannot emphasise enough how much ‘The Way of Tenderness’ has supported, uplifted, and changed me. It is my favourite book, the most transformative of any dharma text I have ever read, and so incredibly relevant to this moment of threshold we are standing at. • • • As a teacher, dear Zenju Earthlyn models fierce compassion, and how to call on the wisdom in the room. Her clarity resonates with me and my practice and I am immensely grateful for the way she speaks the truth.
