As the founder of WWF's Sacred Earth Initiative and Director of the Loka Initiative through the University of Wisconsin - Madison, Dekila works with faith leaders to mobilise communities in efforts towards combatting and adapting to climate change.

Speaking with Dekila was an absolute joy and a model for how we can mitigate despair and fear in the face of the climate change we are already seeing. Her outlook is infused with a courageousness I found to be infectious, and incredibly supportive. This is a conversation about resilience, adaptation, and liberation.

It’s interesting to me how often we look to others to validate whether or not we belong or our lived experience ‘counts’. Comparison mind creates boxes to tick and throws up barriers for belonging.
