Every third Wednesday of the month from 6 to 8 PM at Picasso's on Beale St., St. Charles, MO.
I’ll be going next week. These people have helped me deal with a loss back in 2019.
Most of the attendees are actually straight people who care about queer folk. Most of the leadership are straight people as well, so if the haters come, we can use our straightness to ward them off.
I had forgotten about these. This is some of the swag I got from Pride St. Charles, back in June 15, 2019. It’s been almost a month and I still haven’t finished posting all of the pictures from the festival.
I got a free ticket to the St. Louis Renaissance Festival, several free pens, eyeglass cleaner and a coupon from Clarkson Eyecare, and a Bayer Tumblr tumbler.
The Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis caught my eye with their huge sign in the asexual pride colors. They’re one of many non-crazy religious people in this country who actually practice what they preach.
Which feels weird to say, considering that I’m a proud and unrepentant heretic.
I walked into this man’s stall. I couldn’t remember his name, but I remember his epic beard.
I asked him if his hands were hurting or if he was in a fight club. He told me that he had arthritis. Ouch.
“I’m just going to assume you’re in a fight club like Edward Norton and Brad Pitt,” I told him.
While at the St. Louis Black Pride stall, I got dragged to the Bayer stall by an overly enthusiastic Bayer lady who challenged me to this game where we’d throw bags into a small hole to win prizes.
I got a Tumblr, er... an actual tumbler, which, I just remembered I had lying around in my apartment just now. Totally forgot I got this and other swag until i reviewed the pictures just now.
Above is a picture of one of the Pride St. Charles volunteer stalls selling various swag. Below it is a picture of the St. Louis Black Pride stall.
As always, I reminded them that I was completely straight and asked if it was okay for me to be there because I was totally not gay.
I got some candy from the Black Pride stall, too. Like my European ancestors before me, I came to their place and took their stuff and ate it.
I had no idea what these pictures were about, but after several minutes of searching, I discovered that James Charles is a 20-year old makeup artist on YouTube, and Morphe is his line of cosmetics.
As I am totally not gay and do not use makeup, I wasn’t aware of his existence.
