kaeya usually has such a sly, smug demeanour that it’s hard to tell when he’s genuinely excited about something. i suppose that what he wants usually is stifled by the mask he retains, a need to look perpetually in control to the point of muting his own eagerness. kaeya is adapt at suppressing each of his poker expressions to the point where they’re almost not there, BUT in situations where kaeya doesn’t feel like he needs to mask as heavily, or control his own reactions, there are some tells in his language, his body that might give him away.

ah, for one kaeya’s eye is very expressive when he’s not paying attention, from eyebrow, to the furl of his lashes, to the crinkle at the corners, he has laugh / smile lines that become pronounced when he’s genuinely excited. his posture becomes better for a moment, years of nobleman classes finally setting in when there’s something of interest to him. sometimes, he tends to use his hands to convey anticipation, give them something to do, whether he’s playing with a wine glass, or a coin, drum his fingers against a table. he can’t wait ! he’s excited ! he’s must do something ! how does my muse express this ?   (   acc.   )

I can see them either getting along or have a one sided hate love relationship because while itto can find people annoying, he rarely does lmao.  it requires people to actually be condescending on a whole new level. as for the partnership, I can also see that as well since he does like randomly following whoever piques his interest lmao.  you say hi to him and suddenly he’s your partner in crime for a whole year until he gets bored or your muse dies, c’est la vie with him.  so they could have a very teasy friendship. as for romance, that could also work /thonks/ he does like very composed people that he can get a rise out of.  I do imagine him tending to her though bc he’s actually v nice though annoying when he likes someone that way, though he wouldn’t hold back either.  like checks up on you, teases u until u’re blushing and annoyed, checks up on u, tries to fightualittlebutasasparlol, checks up on u, makes u concerned.  so it could be a gradual thing.

In reality, he had nothing to say.  Being able to maintain her interest by refusing to explain the most trivial of matters was, in a funny way, invigorating.  ❝ Why should I tell you, huh ?  ❞  And while he lacked the knowledge the astrologist possessed, he at least was beginning to understand what quirks of his tended to draw the most frustration out of her.  All in good nature of course.
