Build it so good they'll say it had to be made by aliens... regular human over here, but I had to have evidence of an amount of POC Inclusive Pride skeins that I don't think I'll ever see again. A person who I grew up watching knit on TV, and whose book I'm pretty sure I got at the library to help teach myself, reached out and wanted to include my yarn in her subscription box for Pride Month. Talk about full circle! More details on that to come, but in the meantime I dyed a few extra and they are in the shop.

If you are looking for the other Pride colorways and haven't been able to find the ones you want, I'll be opening up a preorder soon so you can get as many as you want delivered to you in early June. I'll also be hosting a Pride themed KAL this June and July.

Before you browse the shop update today (happening at 3pm ET) I thought it'd be a good time for another intro post!

My name is Brooke, I just turned 28 in June, and I grew up in NC. I started Fully Spun 4 years ago and up until March of this year I created yarn that I dyed as roving and had spun at a mill to look like handspun. This is the yarn you see where each strand has multiple colors and each project has epic color mixing! I've been in need of a new mill since May, and haven't found one yet. I miss my yarn as I'm sure you do too and will be bringing it back no matter what. However, in the interim I've developed a line of 50 new colorways including 12 Pride colorways with more to come! My favorite part about being a dyer is being able to encourage people to use the colors they are inspired by instead of what society tells them is okay or 'looks good'. I promise that you'll look amazing when you're wearing something you made from yarn you love.

Up until December 2019 I also had a career in Interior Design. I got to do great things like design all the furniture for a 31 story building and create a technology solution that revolutionized the way a company handled projects and communicated among staff. Having two full time jobs for three years took its toll though and when the opportunity came I took the leap.

That's what I do, but I am a Black fat queer creative who really loves to explore color. I believe that all people are of value and deserve food, shelter, and healthcare regardless of their ability to work or other factors. I also believe that we can provide that for everybody. I spend most of my time working or being really tired, but my craft of choice is knitting and I'm really into video games even though I don't play regularly right now. I also love all things sci fi and fantasy. I have a 2 year old Chihuahua mix named Brie who also loves yarn and will steal it if she can get to it.

I love to see yarn drying, it has such an impact all together in a group of colorful goodness. Non-binary Pride on Postscript Fingering is one of the colorways going up in tomorrow's update. It is really great to see how the colors work together in this swatch of it knit flat in stockinette.

Thank You So Much!

Thank you all so so much for your purchases and donations. We are 70% of the way there! The rental market right now is crazy, I have been applying for a few homes and none have worked out so far, but I am pressing on. There are a few hopefuls in the queue!

The Dye to Order Listing is still open until we reach the goal and there is yarn still in the shop. I've got some roving dyed that will be up in the next few days and a new colorway coming Friday! Donations can be made via Paypal.

Frederick Fiber Fest I will be vending at the Frederick Fiber Fest at the Frederick Fairgrounds on 4/23. It is my first show since March 2020 and I'm excited to see you there!

This week's shop update is live! We have added skeins of 9 different colorways, including one new one, Demisexual Pride! There are also some skeins left from previous updates including plenty of Majestic and a new group of OOAK untitled skeins.
