your playlist played softly through out the party area as you,ryan,hollis,and nate set the tables. roman was out with evelynn and sirena.
it’s been awkward between the four of you ever since you caught lorelai and ryan together. you looked at your nails then at the clock.
“can you guys finish the rest? i have a nail appointment.” you asked as you grabbed your bag.
hollis looked up at you. “yeah go ahead.” he nodded then went back to whatever he was doing.
you disconnected from bluetooth as you walked out the party room. after waiting a few minutes, ryan spoke up.
“will you guys help me with something?” he asked. hollis and nate turned to him.
nate looked at hollis before replying. “depends..” he replied, placing down the table cloth.
“it’s a apology gift for y/n..” he pulls out his phone. he shows the guys the idea and they agree to help him.
while that’s going on you were currently sitting next to evelynn in a salon chair. she giggled as the nail lady cleaned her feet.
“that tickles!” she laughed. the nail lady laughed with her. “you have a beautiful daughter.” she told you. you smiled. “thank you.”
your phone soon buzzed from a missed call from ryan. you obviously called him back. the phone rings once before he picks up.
“hello?” his voice softly spoke. “what did u need?” you ask. “when are you coming back?” he asks. “why?” you furrow your brows.
you can hear nate and hollis’ voices whispering in the back. “no reason. just tell me..” he huffed. “call me pretty and beautiful then i’ll tell you.”
he went silent. only nates chuckles could be heard. “your pretty and beautiful. now tell me” he muttered out. “in maybe a hour.” you admitted.
he hung up. that was weird you thought.
you huffed and rolled your eyes. you were still mad at him but he just called you for a weird reason. your mind wandered to what he could be doing.
once you and evelynns pedicures were done you both got into the car and drove to the trampoline park. you reached the trampoline park and saw Ryan smoking outside.
he must've been stalking your location. you look at him as he lifts up his shirt to itch his chest, showing some of his happy trail. "put the blunt out loser!" you yell as you exit your car.
he listens to you and puts it out. he walks over to you with a grin. your heels click against the pavement as you walk to your trunk. you open it and grab out cupcakes.
Ryan looked you up and down. he couldnt deny that you looked good. "you always gotta wear heels?" he looked at your fresh pedicure. it was his favorite color.
you look at him with a annoyed look. then shoved the cupcakes into his arms. "I'll stop wearing heels when you decide to actually grow out your hair and stop getting it buzzed every few months." you shot back.
"fair." he nodded as evelynn got out the car. her eyes were glued to the iPad screen. "leave it in the car eve." you huff as you scrummage through the trunk.
ryan noticed your struggle and put the cupcakes down. "here how about I find what your looking for and you go in there with eve." he grabs your hips.
you smack his hands away. "you should already know what I'm looking for. its pink and bedazzled. find it and lock my car after." you hand him your keys and grab the cupcakes.
"come on eve." you reach for her hand and walk off. Ryan watches you walk away before you fully disappear into the park. he grabs your pen and unlocks his car.
Nate walked out of the building with Hollis behind him. "finally. come help me." he grabs everything from his car. "your lucky were even helping."
you monitored the kids and conversed with parents. it was currently only you,sirena,sara,and roman. nate,hollis,and ryan were no where to be found.
a voice of a mother that you forgot the name of snapped you out of your daydream. “but yeah i’m glad evelynn and kate are friends.” she smiled.
you looked at her confusingly before ryan came up behind you. “here..” he stuffed your pen into your back pocket. “thanks.” you muttered.
he walked out of the party area. you turn your attention back to the mom. you nodded and nervously laughed.
“yeah me too.. uh kids how about you go play ok?” you smiled at the bundle of kids who were circled around evelynn.
they all soon ran off to the play area. “god i need a break..” you muttered as you walked towards sirena. “hey come outside with me?” you asked.
she turned towards you. “um.. let me call hollis first ok?” she said. you nodded slowly. now sirena was being weird? what’s going on?
she had a short phone call with hollis before taking your arm and walking you outside. “i needed a breath.” you told her.
ever since lorelai did what she did, you started going to sirena for talks. “what’s wrong?” she asked in a worried tone.
“ryan’s being weird..” you confessed. sirena noticed that you looked worried about how he acts towards you.
she looked at ryan’s car. him,nate,and hollis were staring intently at you two. “how do you think he’s being weird?” she tilted her head.
“he wanted to know where i was and he’s acting like he doesn’t want to see me wear heels and his fans are saying i baby trapped him..” you sniff.
sirenas eyes widened at the sight of you crying. “oh y/n.. he loves you so much..” sirena hugged you.
you wrapped your arms around her and broke down into tears. “then why was he with lorelai?! i’m stupid for even talking to him again..” you cried out.
“y/n. your not stupid for talking to him again.your just following what your heart tells you to do,” she took a breath before continuing.
“you obviously like ryan and he likes you back. you both just don’t know how to express how you feel.” she pulled away.
she frowned, she never saw you this emotional especially over a boy. “let’s get you inside and wipe the mascara tears away..” she grabbed your hand and led you inside.
“oh she’s crying over you..” nate pointed out. “yeah no shit sherlock.” he huffed before getting out. “this is gonna be hard..” he mumbled.
