Um… yes, that’s my name translated as a common word. 

Mermaid is a compound word of two Old English words. Mer comes mere, which means sea. And maid, which means girl or young woman.

So my question is… is there a specific reason why you emphasized the second half of the compound word, namely the maid part?

[Why not? The original draft of Zithra was a Quarian infiltrator, when I remade her to be human, it was one of the parts that felt like it had to be carried over~ It was hard for me to imagine Zith without her ability as a sniper, since it’s a large part of her connection with her father. I could have made her almost anything else, but for some reason, Zith just wouldn’t feel like Zith to me if she didn’t have that knoweldge/skill. If this makes any sense…]
